Rolphton Ontario Question
I think for the time of the construction of the dam at Rolphton that there was a spur put in. I will have to confirm with my best friend who's grandfather worked at the dam from construction to his retirement. My friend is already eyeing property to buy for his retirement time as the old family home has been acting as a cottage for the last 40 years. He loves the area. Chris G

Rolphton Ontario Question
I was snowmobiling in the Rolphton area yesterday. The OFSC uses an Ontario Power Generation road to connect the main trail that uses the former CPR railbed, with the village. It may just be me, but the way this road was built, it seems similar to how a railway would be. Was there a spur to the hydroelectric dam project when it was being constructed? Porcor CPAA 206033/206057/206084
10
Hi All, I recently purchased these three Procor 50' FMC Centered Double Door Box cars -- Athearn Ready to Run. (see image below). Does anyone know anything about the history of these Procor Box Cars? Based on the CPAA marking I have assumed that they ran on CP but I have not been able to find any images or other information. Many thanks John Geddes Vancouver, Canada

Does CPKC still have the 10 - SD70ACe-T4 on their roster? If so, any idea how long the lease is? Ontario Southland (OSR) brings cars from St. Thomas, Tillsonburg and Ingersoll to CP Woodstock. I have seen, on Walter's Railpast videos, OSR push - power - pull cars from Woodstock heading thru Coakley. The lead car was a covered hopper and have looked as close as possible at the video and there does not appear to be a trainman on the lead car. Thought a trainman was required by the rules. Right?? CPR Empress 2816 Rapido model
4
If you purchased the oil burning Empress 2816, this model represents 2816 as it has been restored and is operational today. In this case you would require a consist as it appears today. As you want prototypical heavyweights this means either scratch building heavyweight cars or signing up for the Rapido cars as they are today. As another has suggested, you can sign up for a current consist of heavyweight cars from Rapido. Had you purchased a coal burning CP 4-6-4, you would have still had problems putting a heavyweight consist together but there are options if you could find some BGR heavyweight resin kits. BGR is out of business though you could try RR shows as some may be available if you go that route. Mike

looking to build a heavyweight passenger train for my brand new CPR Hudson 2816 Empress
2
Good day, Not sure if I have the correct group or not..........I'm creating a model railroad for the Canadian Pacific Railroad.. Anyway.......I just purchased RapidoTrains CPR Hudson #2816, Empress. That is the among the most beautiful steam locomotives I've ever seen!! So I want to create a passenger train based on this locomotive. Can't afford Brass!!! My goal is to be prototypically accurate and correct. Does anybody know of any heavyweight passenger cars that would fit right in with this locomotive? Thanks, have a good day! Tim

Someone(Bill Miller I think) asked about the numbers for the locos on the Holiday trains. Did I miss the reply? In any case, could someone kindly post or repeat the information. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gerry Burridge - PO Box 152 - Pte.Claire-Dorval, Que. - H9R 4N9 "Labour is prior to, and independent of capital. Leased CEFX AC440CWs
4
I am trying to track down some information on the CEFX units that CP leased from GE in the mid-00s. The information I have is: CEFX #1026-1059 were delivered between October and December 2004. All units are on long term lease from CIT Capital Finance (CEFX). Units #1001-1025 are painted blue and white, with grey fueltank, and grey GE Hi-Adhesion trucks. Units #1026-1059 also painted blue and white and riding on Hi-Adhesion trucks, but with black frame, fueltank and trucks. A note on Railroad.net 2006 CEFX 1001-1025 are going off-lease at the end of the month. Rumour has it they're going to UP. AC4400CWs 1026-1059 will stay on lease to CP for now. The last trace I find in this group is 2020. Are the units still in use on CP? If not, when were they moved on? Many thanks John Geddes Vancouver
