Re: Steam at South Simcoe?
I'm not sure about that. Being born and raised during the diesel era (and
affiliated with a museum that houses both steam and diesel representation), I
have to honestly say that steam holds much more

Re: Stored SD's/Welland visit
They may not be there for long, as CP requires 8 units for a new train from
Alliston to Detroit (#747 I believe), and 20 more for New York trains. If
only there were some Alcos to resurrect !!!

Not necessarily so. When my 3 year old wants to see a model train run, he
always asks for the steam engine.

Canadian territories for Train Dispatcher software
RailWeb Construction distributes Canadian territories for Train Dispatcher

Beautiful shot of 136!!! and train.
Love that phrase, "you are much more likely to spend money at South
Simcoe if you are there, than if you were not there." If that doesn't
get SSR people busy

Steam vs diesel probably has a lot to do with what era one was born in.

the diesel. Many times as a child laying in bed late at

Re: Steam at South Simcoe?
I'll take the diesel side too.
I'd rather watch/photograph a train going by, (steam or diesel, freight or
passenger) than ride on it. When I am riding in a passenger car it doesn't
make much
