From what I'm seeing each work day and from what the boys in the steam
shack tell me, if the 2816 is ready to run in May, either BC Rail has a
very impressive connection with the supernatural, or there is about to
be a program blitz that will dwarf the arms race. So far, the only
magic I've seen at BC Rail is the foreman's unerring ability to show up
at all the wrong moments. As for a BC Rail blitz, about the closest
I've seen to one of those involved something organized by the United
Way. Unless something has changed very drastically from what I last
heard on pretty good authority, I seriously doubt we are going to see
2816 any time much before summer. (If then.)
