I kind of wondered about this. I would have sworn that when I was in
the shop staff at Kamloops that the SD40s did not have extended range
DB. Seems to me in DB, they would only motor up as far as throttle 4
and that was it.

If I'm not mistaken, all of CP's orginal 40-2's have extend range
brakes
and the largest fuel tanks...
Extended range dynamics was standard on the dash two line for that
option...(I think)
