Thanks for the clarification on how that UP power slipped by me. After Bill Miller's heads up message I checked and saw they were west of Kamloops. Then by Sat. morning they were already back in Golden.
I suspect that 6007 with the tie gons you saw was actually the Ashcroft wayfreight returning to Kamloops. I think those VKA, VKB, VKH names you hear on the line-ups are the yard jobs that go west of Kamloops to service the pulp mill at Benledi.
