I know that CP operated its own commuter rail in Montreal, but did
it ever do so before GO Transit started in Toronto? And what about in
other cities, like Vancouver and Calgary and such?
The only other city I can think of for relatively recent times would be on
the Toronto line towards Peterboro. These trains could be _used_ for
commuting, but were not strictly set up for commuter service.
Before the fifties for possible other cities, well there Im in the dark.
