August 3, 2011 Canadian National announces plans to expand Kirk Yard in Gary IN. CN will make the former Elgin, Joliet & Eastern yard its primary Chicago terminal, with yards in Homewood, Schiller Park, Hawthorne, Glenn and Joliet serving as satellite facilities.
