Re: V2XT help needed
I actually measured the Z home signal on the AUF board just before the microcontroller.? Its 0V before the axis reaches home position, and goes to 4.4V when the home position is reached. (Thanks

Re: Bridgeport 1.5 hp Vari head motor - how remove plastic fan, how trace wires?
The fan is a press on fit. Yes, it has a key. I pry it off. If it breaks, they are cheap (or used to be).

I have a new to me 1.5 hp motor off of a Vari-drive J-head that is not playing nice when I hook it up to a 3 hp static phase converter (with a 3 hp idler running). I have no issues running different

Re: V2XT help needed
First: what your machine is doing is unusual. Without the drives enabled but the machine On, none of the Axis should move. Turn the drives ON and none of the Axis should move. The control will monitor

Re: V2XT help needed
You have to understand the alarms. DAC overflow means the control commanded a move but did not see encoder pulses. Did the motor move? If yes you have a position loop problem. If not, you have a

Re: V2XT damaged BMDC
I should mention that EMI was modifying the AXSBOB and the AUXBOB boards with fuses. Might be a good idea to replace them. Also the original BMDC boards that were not surface mount had a piece of wire

Common issue. Starting with the cutler hammer controls on the EzTraks, the power goes through a piggy back board with circuit breakers. This protects the BMDC. To get people running, I used to take

Re: V2XT damaged BMDC
Post a photo, also regulator number if available. Usually 5V circuits are 1 amp or less with the occasional 1.5 or 5 amp reg. Guesstimate value, 50uh-100uh.
