When will the zbitx orders ship
We were told in Feb.
Feb. Passed, nothing shipped?
?
We were told the first of this week,? in March.? ?So far nothing shipped and no communication sent to list so that the 250 people who ordered know what is going on.? I am a patient man, but I want to know what is going on.? How long does it take to post a message here?? Less than 5 minutes.? ?Please tell us what the problem is and why you didn't ship the first part of this week as you said you would.? Thank you. |
开云体育I'm another one of the 250.? I have quite a collection of QRP and near-QRP radios (sBit, etc.) and am reviewing them for the local club newspaper.? This wouldn't look good if I mentioned it with regard to HFSignals. Gerry Sherman Sent by the Windows 11 Thunderbird On 2025-03-07 19:52, Doug Hendricks via groups.io wrote:

Seriously?
?
It is March 7th, the last update said to expect shipment this week - and this week literally just ended.
?
Was a target missed, yes, but what is the problem, really?
?
When the radios ship, the notifications will go to the 250 purchasers, not the 7,600 list members.
?
Once orders open up after the first shipment goes out, I assume the list of 7,600 members will be notified, just like we were with the first batch on the holidays.
?
I don't understand the point of complaining here - on the maillist - when we all know the direct email address for HFSignals - sales@... if you need to be reminded - there is nothing any list member outside of HF Signals can do about the situation, so complaining to us is not really useful/productive. There is nothing the other 7,600 recipients of your message can do or say, so why include them in your message?
?
That HF Signals is a little late shipping this product is frustrating at worst, if you want an answer, why not ask HF Signals directly?
?
If I had to guess, I'd say an issue was found, changes are being made, and they don't want to give an update until they can better predict a ship date and when they will open up ordering for the next batch, but that's just guess.

What, that a small company had some delays shipping a brand-new radio?
?
I think the ham community, in general is more patient/forgiving than you apparently think.
?
Heck, Flex had delays shipping their newest radios, Elecraft had some delays with the K4, and Icom had delays with their newest amp - this isn't really that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.
?
I *strongly* suspect you have more readers here (7,600) than the review you're writing for your local newsletter could ever dream of reaching, so the threat of bad press in a club newsletter isn't much of a motivator.

That's not very nice...... Give these folks a little grace.? I am not one of the 250 but I look forward to ordering regardless of your local club newspaper report. --Gary Farley KQ4SDM From: "Gerald Sherman via groups.io" <ve4gks@...> To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, March 7, 2025 6:41:43 PM Subject: Re: [BITX20] When will the zbitx orders ship I'm another one of the 250.? 开云体育I can understand both sides of this. However,? I do believe that a bit of transparency, more information and more frequent updates, from HF Signals would make everyone happier all around. Lately I have been wondering what's going on with HF,
and I am not even waiting on a pre-ordered unit. A few of my communications with both sales and support have gone unanswered. The zBitx and sBitx v4 are two that I am waiting to evaluate, but I can't even get everything answered in regards to my sBitx v3.
?I currently am evaluating the Lime sdr mini v2, Radioberry 2, Hackrf one, and the Pluto+/Neptune. I really want to put these HF Signals units at the top, because I love the designs, but there are several issues that are working against them.
?Anyway, that's my rant, and either way, I can't say that I will or won't sink more $$ into HF Signals, but it's still in question.?

Please make it stop. This and the "add me to the list" BS. On Fri, Mar 7, 2025, 6:48 PM Michael Bales via <mikebales73=[email protected]> wrote:

Yeah, I, for one, have had stellar service from Farhan. Also, he's in India, not China, but I didn't know and don't WANT to know what he and his crew worship or the holidays they recognize. That's their business. The world is in chaos right now for a whole number of reasons. Give them a break. Push them, and THEY'LL break, and I sure as hell don't want that! So sit back, count 10 chimpanzees, eat a hamburger, and CHILL. Or should I just pull this car over right now? (Yes, this stuff is at that level. Childish.) 73, On Fri, Mar 7, 2025, 9:53?PM KF7NZ via <scadify=[email protected]> wrote:

The issue isn't what the folks at HF Signals worship or recognize, it's that their Chinese Suppliers they rely on basically shutdown operations for a week to celebrate, throwing off production schedules if not planned for. As I recall, Farhan admitted to not appreciating the impact the Chinese holiday would have on his production schedule.

I agree, patience and understanding is called for.

As someone trying to manage a small (microscopic) endeavor myself, I have nothing but the greatest respect and admiration for all the small businesses in our community such as HF Signals, QRPLabs, and hundreds of maker hams creating and selling items to make our hobby more fun. No one should be allowed to complain about ANYTHING until they try running a small enterprise of their own first, and find out how things REALLY are. -- Rich WB2GXM On Sat, Mar 8, 2025, 9:03 AM Ken N2VIP via <ken=[email protected]> wrote:

Come on guys, a little patience is required.
Put yourself in Farhans shoes for a minute......he`s up to his neck in orders, couple that with parts procurement difficulties
add to the mix that it TAKES TIME for these items to be manufactured AND tested before despatch........`nuff said ??
?
You know they are good for the goods so its not as if you are dealing with some rip-off merchants!
Sit back....relax and sip your Jack Daniels a little slower.
