Feedback from headset

I have sBitx V2 running JJ's V4.4 on Linux sbitx 6.6.62+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.62-1+rpt1 (2024-11-25) aarch64 GNU/Linux.
On transmit, using the USB Headset Controller 1.2 I get a feedback echo on transmit.? It doesn't happen with the built in mic or? hand mic.? The headset is a Logi DZL-A-00052.? I have the volume set to 0 on the sbitx, there is no noise coming from the radio.? What am I missing?

Hi Bob,
?
Have you tried adjusting the trans monitor in the menu???

I'm interested, as I may have the same. A distorted, slightly delayed "echo" when transmitting,
at any power setting that actually outputs power.
Not happening in all bands, though. And happening only with the headphones, on the loudspeaker
I don't hear it.

Is this the same for you? My headphones are Sennheiser HD-280, 64 Ohms.

The trans mon is set to 0.? Adjusting it up makes it vastly worse.? Using this as a clue, I reduced the mike volume and it decreased the echo.
I might just have been over modulated.??
Thanks Evan.
