uBitx almost finished by Bore Lezaic into CM2KMK PCB

Vince Vielhaber

I joined a couple of months ago and it's not normally like this. If,
however, it continues, I'll be headed for the door right behind ya.

To everyone else, can we get back to bitx/ubitx discussions???

Vince.

Wow, I joined this group today, I *really* hope that's not the standard
here or I'll be leaving very quickly.

At great risk again, ...from what Farhan has said in the past and now,
the
wanted staff for this job to be youngish Indian girls. And they most
likely
have no job experience. And as girls, that don't have experience with
these
kinds of things, let alone, what to do with them.
He has already worked long and hard to teach them how to make the
parts..
Such as they do. But from the sound of it , My comparison, it's like
working with the mentally handicapped people. And I have worked with
them.
Telling or teaching them to do their job differently now is usually very
difficult,

It's difficult to say that one of these is, just like the other, without
being offencive, or playing it too cool and losing most of the message.
The point is , is that he has a problem with job training his workers.
And
has to be creative with teaching and using a jigs for fool proof
product
making. He really has his work cut out for him. It's too bad you can't
borrow smarter girls to work in the BITX shop

Vince,

I normally do not reply to many of the statements made, but in this case it
was so egregious that something had to be said. This is not in keeping with
the normally friendly, helpful, and informative nature of this forum. I am
hoping he just was having a bad day. In my opinion a sincere apology is due.

At the outset, he was argumentative, condescending, and just about zero fun to have in the group. Still, we hung in there, tried to ignore his attitude, and help him. As far as I'm concerned now, however, he either owes a HUGE and heart-felt apology, or he should be banished from the group...period.

May I suggest that a simpler approach to postings like John Smith's? Don't respond on the list; it just encourages trolling. If you do need to respond, send a direct email.?

I posted a link to message on this site from Farhan himself, I suggest you all read it. Then re-read his comments about his employees earlier in this thread. And be sure you re-read my previous comment. I made no statement of my own, and only loosely but accurately quoted your dear hero. I knew there was a risk of mentioning handicapped people, because there are ugly and hateful people who vomit their hate at the mention of certain things. This is a place for intelligent discussion, and some people had to react wildly instead. Once again I didn't say anything wrong and have no problem with anyone, including Farhan, India, women, or anyone with any kind of disability. Read what I posted a link to, and you will have a better context of what's going on with training staff, and the troubles that have been had. I think you all owe me an apology, and it's been a long time coming. And you still can't buy my BITX40 Jack! Your ugly and hateful things you all said to me have been documented and are pathetic.?

Trust me when I say this John I am NOT sorry and will never apologize to you. You should be ashamed to use verbiage like that. Yes we all have read the issues with training and building it happens in all walks of life and job training.....that does not give you or anyone the right to tear people down like that in any manner self-justified or not. I am all for people having opinions but this is a bit of a stretch....I also don't like pulling the P.C. card but this has to stop.

What is pathetic....is your inability to see what is wrong with your statements. Document all you want you sir started this rubbish.

Sometimes individuals forget that this is an international group, with a myriad of languages, cultures, and management methods. ?It is tempting to insert one's own ideas, culture, and pre-concieved ideas, no matter how improper an unnecessary. ?Such acts range from simple demonstrations of insensitivity, to statements that highlight an individual's lack of awareness or concern for cultural and political differences of others. ?

There are several options available to group moderators to control those who habitually post insensitive and objectionable comments (including comments about comments). ?For obvious reasons the moderators do not advertise the implementation of these options. ?Only the person involved ?will know if she/he has been subject to these actions. Sometimes a private email is sufficient, but in persistent situations it may be necessary to place an ID on moderation, block someone from posting, or to ban an individual. ?

Let's all hope Johnny doesn't hold any sort of management position at his job. He has absolutely ZERO "people skills". Sometimes, John, it's not WHAT you say, it's HOW you say it, and WHEN. This thread has gotten COMPLETELY off topic. It either needs to get back ON topic, or be closed and locked. I'm here for useful technical information, NOT to read nasty remarks. If you're not happy with the quality control, don't buy the product. Frankly, I think it's great that Mr. Farhan has managed to find employment for those girls, and insulting them - and indirectly, him as well - is NOT a good way to encourage the continued production and development of the Bitx radios.

Gentlemen,?

There's clearly some kind of mistake here. I thought I was joining a discussion list dedicated to amateur radio.

Somehow, it has morphed into a group of bitchy old women sniping at each other over perceived insensitive remarks. These are words, not sticks and stones.?

At least try to exercise a modicum of self control, and stick to the topic at hand. Otherwise, this group will cease to be worth anyone's time.?

That was the first thing you said to me when my bitx wouldn't work and reverted back to the blink sketch, and I needed help.?

That , this, and everything in between has been bullying by a type a personality who want's people with a problem or complaint to go away from you. At least you recognized when a customer was owed a refund.

My comment last night might not have been nice or entirely accurate, but all these wild reactions and private emails are far, far worse. And are on the world stage, and archived for all to see. Now and later. I never meant any harm, or to express any hate. But I sure got some in return.

I am thrilled that the ubitx is almost finished.

I am thinking that I should look at methods that allow Mr. Farhan and the people that he chooses to work with to produce his product at a price that allowed me to achieve HF Ham Radio.

I am thinking that instead of pushing and hammering my thinking on him, I should be listening to his thinking.

I am thinking that if someone wants to build a $500 ubitx, go for it. I prefer, at the moment to wait for Mr. Farhan to figure out how he will build and release a ubitx that I can afford. In the meantime, I will add another BitX40, and mod it to another band.

I am eagerly waiting for the ubitx, and have been since I first saw Mr. Farhan¡¯s video of it.

Hi,

I never see video with QSO from Bore (and other) with uBitx. He and I builded CM2KMK version (Bore with SBL-1, I'm build original Heriberto CM2KMK design). Receiver is worked, but transmitter is not worked. I think, signal level from last mixer is very low and not drive PA stage transistors. I'm freeze this project now (I'm build 2 versions - 1 original CM2KMK and 1 with LZ1LDO modification in PA stage). Also audio (with TDA2282) and AGC provide very poor and low audio signal in both versions (my friend LZ1CLK also build original CM2KMK version, and also have similar problems in audio stage). I don't know why. I think, we need to wait finished Mr. Farhan development and buy from him original uBitx ;)
