Main Tuning Encoder Noise
#sbitx_v2
开云体育Does it sound like spike noise, like the synthesizer moving through frequency steps?? Capacitors across the encoder terminals wouldn't help that at all.? Or is it more like wideband noise?? If you can hear it, any chance you could make a recording of it available? That sounds undesirable to me ... tuning is how you find stuff you wan to listen to. 73, Dave? Hi Dave,
It sounds more synthesizer noise, It's really noticeable if I disconnect the antenna and then tune across the band and it's most prevalent on the higher frequency bands like 20 meters and up. I hooked up my DE running the same V2 software on the same power supply and antenna and found it to be quiet, no tuning noise at all. Joel N6ALT |

I received my #349 yesterday, and have noticed the same irritating behavior from the tuning knob. I also discovered that bumping the case or the encoder (hard to tell which, as it's not consistent) causes the entire audio stream and waterfall to go quiet. Sometimes it's come back after more tapping, while at other times I've had to re-start the program.
