I got my BITX40 in the mail Saturday. I got it up today and checked in to the Southcars net on 7.251 Mhz. I powered it with a 11.1 volt Lipo battery that I use with the RC airplanes. It is fun to use 6 watts. I will work on an antenna to use portable so I can use it at the private airport that I hang out at a few days a week. I used a case that I bought at Harbor Freight.

Can you show us a photo of the radio and case? I'm still trying to figure out what to put mine in and I've got a harbor freight near by.

Pictures were attached to the original message. I bought the case because it said it is an aluminum case but only the frame is aluminum. The flat sections of the case are Masonite. It is a good size and can be closed and has a space for the batteries? HF item number 69316.

Got mine on Monday. I saw it in the online tracking, that it already arrived at the Customs in Vienna on January 7th, but it took them 9 days for clearance even though I had to pay no taxes or customs.

Everything was ok. No damages.

Yesterday I put it together just for a short test and it seems to work. Seems to be off about 2kHz. I will look for a case and build it in in the next couple of days.
