CAT Support uBITX Firmware CEC Version 1.04 Release #ubitx

All
CAT Support uBITX Firmware CEC Version 1.04 Release, but? There is no major change compared to version 1.03.
I released it for people looking for HEX files.

The changes since 1.01 are as follows.
- Reduce cpu usage rate
- Change BFO Calibration step (50 to 5)
- Change CW Frequency Display type
??The more accurate frequency is displayed during CWL, CWU Mode.
- Optimized source code and reduce program size (97% -> 95%)
? I have free up memory space for WSPR on stand alone uBITX

For more information, please see the link below.
(You can download HEX file and latest version of uBITX Manager from the link below.)

No uBitx yet but CECBT 1.04 working well with Nano and I2C 20x4 lcd display and HRD control cat is fine.
PC acting strange, W10pro refusing to work with updated Manager but previous version still ok.

Carlos
Thanks for CW Keying Test.

If you get a chance later, try using the built-in Memory Keyer.
I have not written the user manual yet, but you can test it by watching the video below.

Bob

Tanks for feed back.
I often test with nano only.?
I sometimes did not make A6 High, so I did not know if CW-Key was being pressed and I had a hard time trying to catch a bug. so?I have now soldered the test Nano.

Just loaded the Software and love it tested cat works 100%!

My only issue (more the radio then software) the pitch of the RX is insanely high, in the ubitx manager where would I tweak the BFO to get the audio tone to lower a bit. At this time it sounds like a tin can but worse.

I have found the instructions for downloading and installing the software.

Where do I find the instructions for setting up Cat Control?

Cat is as simple as using hrd and setting it to FT-817, some of the cat info I think is in the .ino files
I have tested it with FLdigi and HRD as well as FT8 using WSJT

David,
? ?I had the same problem. Just do the BFO Calibrattion explained in the original manual.?
? ? ??3. Setting the BFO
  • Click on the encoder button to display the menu, rotate it to the “Setup On?” and click on to confirm it
  • Tune to an clean and preferably weak SSB signal to its loudest (not the clearest)
  • Click on the encoder button again to display menu and choose ?Theoption ‘Set the BFO’. Click to enter this option
  • Now tune with the encoder for the best sounding audio
  • Press PTT to save the calibration.

Done. ? ? ? ? ? ?73 Mike KF6KXG

David,
Would that imply DXlabs commander would also work if configured for FT-817? I would be overjoyed if so.

David
Thanks for feedback
In the uBITX Manager, setting the BFO value to 0 is the factory default value.
If the problem is solved by moving the frequency, try adjusting the Master Calibration rather than the BFO.
How to set Master Clibration and BFO Calibration is same as original source.
uBITX Manager has a function to backup setting values.?It is better to back up when adjusting the calibration.

I just tested it in Version 1.9.7 works great. In "general" pick the "FT817" under "Ports" select the port yours shows up as mine was port 4, 38400 Baud, DTR off, RTS TX. If you use winwarbler under ptt just pick "Xcvr Ctrl App".

Have fun I like DXlabs stuff I use it every year for Field Day digital ops.

Thanks now that its up and running with a new U1 the audio is not bad at all. I guess my issue was the TDA2822 WX. I may still play with it thanks again for the great work Ian.
