LIVE icon added to bitxmap.com

By popular demand, we now have a rudimentary, manual way to indicate on the map if you are currently operating.? I have added a custom live icon.? When you are live, edit your existing icon to the live one shown below.? When you are done, change it back.? Please do not use this icon unless you are actively operating.? If you have not edited your point on the map to list your call sign this would be a good time to do that as well.? If anyone has a better idea, go for it.

I do not find the following:

"click add to map at the bottom of the box that pops up
now click the pencil/edit icon at the bottom right of the box"

Therefore I cannot proceed with adding my location.

do you have a google account?? one thing we discovered in message 28007? was:

I did some more research and you do need a google account to add yourself or edit.? It appears google just assumes the entire world has an account so share with everyone to them means everyone with an account.? Again, if you do not have an account or can not figure the page out just email me or reply and I will add you.

How to change to the live icon

click your call on the list on left or your map point
click the paint bucket (style)
click more icons
scroll to custom icons at the very bottom
select the LIVE icon
click ok

same thing to change to a regular icon when you are off the air

One quick add, you can also search for your call and then click on the "oval" below the search entry that finds your call to edit.? Just another way to get to your call for editing.

I have been monitoring the map, and so far have not seen anyone "go live".

I am sorry I may have missed something or just can't figure it out. How do we go "live" on the map or change an icon or what do each icon mean. Is there a legend?or instructions I am missing? I made it on the least.

Checked again and no one is listed as live EXCEPT for the Icon that I changed.

Has anyone used the new icon to show they were live?? How did it go?

I was able to display my "Live" icon.? Did not see any other Live icons at that time.
Man is never satisfied with what he has.? Now, it would be nice to be able to see a list of "Live" stations along with their frequencies.

Of the 5 or 6 times that I looked, I was the only "Live" uBiTx on the map.? It might be useful if others would set their icon during the Sunday scheduled net.? At least then you would know that someone was on, and we know the frequency is either 7,277 MHz US, or 7.177 MHz Europe.
