CW MODES

Several weeks ago someone posted an alternative to IAMBIC A&B.? I lost the email and wanted to
include this mode in my new V6 software.? Please re-post or send it to me direct.

Thanks in advance

Ron

the Mode is called Ultamatic, mode

The best explanation of Squeeze Keying is by Karl Fischer DJ5IL, All About Squeeze Keying, ?

I cannot describe the Utimatic mode better than Karl.

I was first introduced to the mode in person by SK Al Williams VE6AXW and SK Martin Berger VE6ARA who presented their transistorized version running full break-in in a Demo in Edmonton, AB in 1977 they were both running Tube (Valve) Receivers and Tube Transmitters. In this demo the phrase "Seeing Is Believing" was very evident as Martin was able to interrupt Al between his set dits. To make the demo more dramatic they ran at 10 WPM for those present to better hear the exchange. They also demonstrated the operation at 20 WPM, 25 WPM and 30 WPM for those more proficient at CW.?

For CW the art of Squeeze Keying is becoming a lost art.

I also commented on the K1EL keyers as he has included Lead-In and Tail Timing all within his keyer eliminating the need to adjust any radio settings which is a consideration when using someone else's radio such as at Field Day, Where using your own Key and External Keyer noes not alter any of the Host Transceiver physical settings (courtesy) Most people are unaware that modern transceivers even have the need for lead-in timing or Tail-Timing these things are all built in but dig into the menus and you will find these settings can be adjusted to suit your operation.
Those of us who grew up with Tube Transmitters and Tube receivers this was common place to avoid the dreaded Chirp and protecting or delicate receivers.

That is a very interesting article by DJ5IL. He Does a splendid job of describing the differences between the keying styles and this is the best information I have read that truly explains those differences, along with the history. I always wondered where the ditditditdaaaaaaaaaah came from.?

THANKS for making this available.
