开云体育QRP-Labs has a Si5351 version that fits the same foot print as Ebay AD9850/1 but has all three outputs available. Cheap too. Si5351 is pre soldered.
Just received a couple of kits but not yet had time to assemble.

开云体育No, you were quite correct.? When two parts of a circuit already
share a common ground (e.g. Raduino and BITX40), only ONE END of
the coax shield should be connected.? Otherwise, you are providing
multiple return paths for both DC and RF current, leading to
unpredictable and unexplainable behavior.? If the circuits at each
end do NOT share a common ground (e.g. transmitter and antenna,
scope and circuit under test, transmitter and amplifier, etc.),
then BOTH ends of the shield need to be connected in order to
provide a common return path. -Jim W7JLL (just reading the mail while waiting for my BITX40) On 04/10/2017 03:13 PM, Steve Greer

10W from 12v on 40m, about right for two IRF510's in push-pull. Doubling the voltage to 12v gives roughly 4x the power, so figure something like 40W. Yes, it may fall off some when you push towards 30mhz. On Mon, Apr 10, 2017 at 07:52 pm, John Smith wrote:

The board's not ready for prime time yet. We still have a lot of testing to do. I will post here, probably mid-May, about the availability of the PCB.? If you want to get a head start on parts, we know you'll need an AD9850 board (See eBay?331887478013. Note the double row of pins. The other board type won't work.), an mcufriend TFT display (112239992127 is the 2.4" shown in the previous post's picture), the Mega 2560 Pro Mini (161757319864), and a buck converter (272604581988). I buy multiples of the buck converter because I've been known to torque the adjusting screw right off the board. Tayda Electric has the caps, resistors, and the inductors (100uH) at very reasonable prices. Also, while out of Asia, they have a distribution warehouse in CO so orders are pretty quick. As for the display, we opted for the smallest one because of the case size we plan on using. Re: The Users User Manual
The program has good intentions in contacting you by mail with important information about your signal or usage issues, assuming you care about that. And I do, and appreciate the heads up. But an overzealous rookie do gooder can cause you serious problems. And as a new operator it scared the crap out of me, and I bought a MFJ-9240 CW Transceiver to avoid another notice about signal quality. But I couldn't stay away from the kit, eventually discovering it was the D882 final. Replacing that, I then had a normal, clean, strong, sounding signal. And had two more contacts with it. Don't tell Jack I said this, but I took a shortcut with learning the code. And Made a PS/2 CW keyboard keyer from his book and added a relay module after the opto-isolator chip for solid normal sounding keying. Just the chip alone produced a weaker sounding transmitted signal with my rig. Probably switching too fast. I loved it until I switched to using Fldigi, and a keying circuit for that which also got a relay module added. Having two keyboards in front of me got confusing. I took another look at the uBitx write up and he says it's 10 and 5 watts.- http://www.phonestack.com/farhan/ubitx/ubitx.html |

Strange. I'll take another look, but I'll be doing my taxes for the next few days. Also, two days from now send me a copy of the INO file that you're using. I want to make sure we're working from the same file. Well, this is interesting. So, with the if(!digitalRead(ENCODER_BTN)) in the loop, the button presses and movement of the encoder are dramatically magnified. As if someone was holding down the button and spinning the dial very very quickly. I played with the delay in the debouncing section and tried changing the !digitalREAD to digitalREAD (thinking that "!" = "not" and that the code was telling it to change as long as the push button was electrically open.) The good news is that it appears to be tuning and moving the increments simultaneously. So it gives the desired result. Does that tell you anything Jack? 73 de KB1VNA Eric

Re: Getting closer!

A standard Mega won't fit. This is for the Mega 2560 Pro Mini, which is sold on eBay (see?161757319864). Yes, I do plan to make them available for sale and the entire project will be Open Source. The board is larger than the AA board being sold by QRP Guys and is a little more expensive to produce. I hope to sell the board for under $10. The TFT display plugs into the back of it, as the attached picture shows. It is an mcufriend display with SD socket also on the back. I written the code so it works with 2.4", 2.8", 3.5", and 3.95" displays. (The code autosizes at runtime.) The displays are full color and cost less than $10 quantity 1. Dennis (W6DQ), Farrukh (K2ZIA), and I are working on the board and hope to have the AGC, S meter, keyer, and CW mode working before FDIM. Jack, W8TEE |
Re: Getting closer!
Jack Purdum
They are available for around $16, quantity 1. I prefer the one that comes with the female header socket, which is what the board I showed is using. Otherwise, you either solder it directly to the PCB (which I don't like) or you supply your own female headers. ?See?161757319864 on ebay. I did buy 25 of them for a club build of the antenna analyzer and managed to get them for $10. Re: Help uploading to Raduino - no port
"I thought most of the latest NANOs had the CH340 USB to serial chip instead of the FTDI chip after the episode with the FTDI drivers bricking the NANOs with counterfeit FTDI chips."
That's the key. The Uno uses a FTDI interface and the Nano uses a CH340. You say that you can compile and upload to the Uno but NOT to the Nano. You need to install the CH340 driver. I think it is included in the latest IDE...but it may not be. In any event, get it and install it as the driver for "USB-2.0-serial". john AD5YE |
