All those sm C's and R's near the AD8307, those are part of the circuit?
Looks like you cut out the ground plane around the AD8307, which seems?
a good idea as it will be very sensitive.
Will make an ideal RF probe for debugging, an RF signal generator,
that and sweeperinoability will make this useful my many that don't have a *Bitx*.
I'm in for a couple boards if you are trying to take a count.
Perhaps #2, the bare SMD board, though any of the options are fine.

Ok. Just let me know ahead of time when you plan on going in the air. I switched from the ubtix radio to a Yeasu FT-817. It's QRP, had alot of antenna issues and didn't have the time to mess with the bitx40. Been working like a champ.?

And, near the ad8307 if there's unused real estate, put down some square pads
for prototyping surface mount parts, something you could comfortably put a few
1206 C's and R's down on.
I'd prefer option 5, a surface mount kit with all parts.
