Re: LATEST .UF2 FILE
Yep, I will flip the version if the early tests find it okay On Sun, Mar 30, 2025, 8:06 PM Sam Hanie via <SAMHANIE=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: New sBitx V3 to me
OK the hardware version is v3, when you turn it on it says which firmware version. Did you just buy it from the manufacturer?
Then I think it might be v3.021 or something similar. If you have a spare uSD card at home and you want to use the device, copy the contents of the /sbitx/data folder from the uSD card to a USB stick. The manufacturer ships it with a 32-bit OS, and it is worth replacing the OS (an image on a new uSD card) with a 64-bit one, because it is under development. Currently the firmware version is v4.4. --

New sBitx V3 to me
Good morning all,
?
I have been interested in the SDR rig and finally picked one up yesterday. I looked up the manual, watched a few videos but cannot figure out a few things. #1 when i touch the KBD OFF button, the radio shuts off. #2 there is no SET button which should be next to WEB button.
?
It appears that I have a full screen but the resolution is too large. I have no access to the settings menu to adjust.
?
The main problem with this is the call sign and grid are not mine.
?
Thanks for the help.

Re: zBitX ft8 TX signal comes speaker
Yes, drive is set to 100 and I am using the native application. The voltage coming off the barrel connector of the included battery holder is 7.56(display shows +7.4v) with 2 brand new fully charged 18650s. If I select CW there is no RF power out and the sound comes out the device speaker. ?Power out shows 0w and swr is 0, also confirmed with a watt meter.
?
Strange, I went to that url last night and there was no manual there only a page that said there was a place holder, but it appears to work now.

Re: zBitx DOA
I watched the video you made.
I would try some things. You should know that the USB cable to the CAT connector only powers the screen, not the raspberry pi. Therefore, it will never turn on. I would connect a 6 to 9v dc power supply different from the one in the battery socket.
let's see what happens. It could be a problem with the battery cable. Someone said that the battery cable connectors have failed...
If that doesn't work, then we have a problem with the radio's motherboard. But that's strange, since the radios are tested and adjusted before shipping.

Re: zBitX ft8 TX signal comes speaker
Ben,
Can you confirm that the drive is set to 100? Are you transmitting FT8 from the native application or are you using a third party program like JTDX? Can you please confirm the input voltage and if you are getting power output on CW. ?
?The manual is up on .
