Hi Gavin. I don't see a RF ground.?The (-)DC voltage is not a ground.? On most power supplies it is a common.? If connected to ground at the supply, it is connected to mains electrical system

Did you remove the paint from all of the holes to insure good contact? Antenna jack, power, board mounting holes, jacks, case screws, etc. Twist your audio wiring together more as well.

Re: nextion noise 2.5mh choke
There are two system variables to control the dim function: 1. dim = 0? -> 0 = off. After reset you must set this again. 2. dims = 0 This will also work after reset.

Re: How to get rid of Local FM broadcast stations

Use a 2wire + shield cable between audio 8 pin plug and the volume control. The ground pin of VC can return back on the shield wire to the connector. But not to be grounded there at VC. Hope this

I have my radio in the chassis now, no more humming, but the radio stations are back. I can¡¯t see any wires touching the chassis and the stations were there without the lid. And they are persistent

Re: uBitX as a Shortwave Receiver?
In my opinion using it just as a receiver is a bit of waste. It's an excellent choice as a qrp transceiver, but a Tecsun portable receiver like a PL660 is just more convenient with synch detector, AM,

Re: WTB uBITX Harness and Controls
Yep Curt, I may have to go that route, but I already have a nice case on the way. What I am trying to avoid is going to my junk box. Maybe somebody will have a spare. Dale [email protected]> wrote:

Re: WTB uBITX Harness and Controls
Dale Here is another thought to explore. Many of us buy the case from amateurradiokits.in. Sunil also sells a companion set of harness. This may be the most turnkey approach. I like the end result.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would rather get the harness and controls all made up.? It is a pain to crimp molex connectors even though I have the tool.? So, to get back to the topic;

Re: nextion noise 2.5mh choke
I wish there was some to disable the dimming mode of the nextion display, maybe contact nextion to see if this is possible?because the choke dose not get rid of the noise completely!

That is raw. You can hard wire the radio and have it work just fine. -- 73 Dave k0mbt Raduino bracket and Ham_Made_Keys ( http://veloliner.com/ham/k0mbtkey.pdf )

Re: nextion noise 2.5mh choke
I wrapped all 4 feed wires around a toroid core. I figured that I didn't know which wire was emitting in common mode so they all got the treatment. Made the installation neat using up the excess wire.

Re: uBitX as a Shortwave Receiver?
Absolutely Mike! With the inherent stability of the uBITX it tunes nicely to the exact frequency, zero beat, and no problem in receiving AM. Actually, it is somewhat better since the selective fade is
