A simple TRRS socket should be fine.
If you need any fancy connector , it's your choice.
For Audio out a tap-off from the buffer amp output to the volume pot input

i have my "home norm " ... all in RCA (chinch) ... and for commercial rigs i make adaptor cables (acc connector one end ... rca coupler to other end)
that way you can nonnect a "normal" 3.5 mm to rca

Yes the raduino fits when plugged in either too far to the right or left. Bought a used uBITX that was assembled wrong. The result was that the raduino was toast

The white screen simply means that either:
1. The display is bust (unlikely)
2. The display connector is not properly in contact with the rest of the
raduino.
3. The Arduino is loose.
