Re: New kit: QDX - Digital Transceiver by QRP Labs
Hi Laurence No. You've heard of the global semiconductor shortage... The STM32F401RBT6 microcontroller in the QDX can't be found anywhere. I can't make more QDX until I can either find some, or figure

Fast indeed... and the checkout kept crashing as everyone was trying to get in (looks like the shop could use a beefier server).? I think I have one ordered, but after all the starts and restarts, I

Re: New kit: QDX - Digital Transceiver by QRP Labs
From the QDX page: QDX is out of stock. We will endeavour to source more ICs but do not have an estimated availability date, due to the global semiconductor crisis, sourcing ICs is very difficult

Re: New kit: QDX - Digital Transceiver by QRP Labs
Yes - I placed an order as soon as selling opened up (440 available), as soon as my order was completed they were gone. I ordered two, and FedEx was cheaper than postal. Looks like a fun kit. Ken,

I believe that changing the 30MHz low pass filter to a 70MHz band pass filter and modifying the code to allow 4m operation should be enough to have a 4m exiter and receiver. Naturally the PA would

Hi Ken, The TSW kit is a replacement for the factory Raduino that's included with a uBITX. Our kit uses the original factory 2.8" TFT color touch display and you have to order a Teensy 4.1 from either

FYI, we've closely calculated current parts costs plus labor to solder the 5351 chip on the kit's PCB and check all connections.? We found that we can sell the full kits for $35 USD (this is a kit,

Re: New kit: QDX - Digital Transceiver by QRP Labs
FreeDV is a framework that incorporates the Codec2 voice codec and various modems. The usual modems on HF use OFDM modulation; multiple carriers, so not suitable for the QDX.

So¡idle question really, but ¡ Given that this outputs digit modes using a sound card, could it be used for FreeDV? Very narrow digital voice mode: http://www.freedv.org/ Pretty interesting if it

Re: Non resonant antenna

Steve I use an LC network to load a 55 foot end-fed wire for an original BITX, and for my uBITX. The inductor is a roller coil from an ARC-5 transmitter. This with a Stockton bridge for SWR management
