Collection of knowledge about CEC firmware? #firmware
I have a v5 ?BITX that I've been fiddling around with for a while, and it looks like just about all the stuff I'm interested in being able to do with it will be better-enabled with the CEC

Re: WTB 680nF Inductors #parts
MadRadioModder, that would be too easy. I am not an electronics expert, only a builder and tinkerer. I will learn more from modding the V3 than I will ever learn from assembling the V5. Just my

Re: WTB 680nF Inductors #parts
Yeah, whats a few farads or henrys between friends. We all know what I am looking for nomatter how I say it. You're also right that this fix only address harmonics, not spurs. I knew that. That's

Re: WTB 680nF Inductors #parts
An easier fix is to sell the V3 and buy a V5. Boom. Done. Sent: Saturday, September 21, 2019 5:10 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [BITX20] WTB 680nF Inductors #parts I think the whole

Re: WTB 680nF Inductors #parts
Sorry to nit pick, however I do not know where to get 680nF inductors, only 680nH inductors.? I assuming that you do mean the 680 nanoHenry inductors that were suggested by Raj, vu2zap in this

Re: WTB 680nF Inductors #parts
I think the whole smd inductor - alternate relay thing has been discussed to death. Seems there are two options, inductor-relay fix or off-board relay fix. I can do the inductor-relay fix without

Re: WTB 680nF Inductors #parts
Hi Dale, Not to discourage You from doing this, but my experience with replacing the toroids with the 680nF SMDs showed no change whatsoever. I have photos of the spectrum analyser screens before

Re: I2C display plus other I2C devices, 3.3V #ubitx
Easiest soln? is to use a two chan level converter (~50 cents). You can also make a 3.3 v device the master, with pullups to 3.3 v source.? Arduino will read 3.3 v as high.

Re: I2C display plus other I2C devices, 3.3V #ubitx
Our group, the TSW actually had this working long before CEC used it and the only problem you might run into is the Si5351 can accept no more than a nominal 3.3V signal level on the I2C lines. If you

Re: I2C display plus other I2C devices, 3.3V #ubitx
I have not yet done the mod, however KD8CEC at Hamskey.com has used the I2C line to link in second displays and Nano's for increased functionality.? To me that would imply that you can use the link

I2C display plus other I2C devices, 3.3V #ubitx
Hello, I have one of the 20x4 LCD displays on my uBITX, with the I2C backup to free up pins.? I removed the two pull-up resistors from the (5V) backup, so that I could use it in conjunction with the

Yes, those encoders are pricey.? I got mine for like $4 each from a surplus electronics shop in San Diego.? Though, having used them now, I'd still be tempted to use them even if I had to buy one
