Re: Inexpensive eBay Amplifier Kits
I built the 70w version of that amplifier. ?The instructions are pretty much just a schematic with a few mistakes on it but it's not very hard to figure out what goes where. ?I made some initial

Re: Inexpensive eBay Amplifier Kits
Although it is not a kit, I picked up one of these at a hamfest. https://www.ebay.com/i/122509722811?chn=ps Been having good luck with it, gets good reports. I dialed back the uBitx output to around

I don't require an apology, so not accepted. Was nothing wrong with the photo that I saw. Accidents happen. Like my HP laptop keyboard. If I begin typing too fast and pressing the keys too hard

I use an innova 3320 dvm; it showed up in an issue in QST some months back. Its good for what it does. 73, Kelly K5AID

Re: Look at this on eBay, ubitx, budget test equipment.
Did you use 1 watt resistors or higher? I am assuming qrp levels similar to our ubitx, of course.. 73, Kelly K5AID

Re: Look at this on eBay, ubitx, budget test equipment.
I am with Robert, a decent dvm is the first cab off the rank.? I sold my oscilloscope on ebay as I found that while useful when needed, it wasn't needed very often and a digital one could do the job.

Re: Needed a break, so thought I would make AD7C's VFO
I attribute it to my assumptions, obviously. I was shocked myself after all the positive remarks, etc. I am glad it works as I was wanting to experiment with it, like make a receiver for my dad, who

Do you happen to have a source/part number for the heat sink? Thanks. Bill KC1JTS

Re: Needed a break, so thought I would make AD7C's VFO
That's interesting, i have based 5 different VFO's off of the schematic Rich provided on his Blog and all of them worked perfect. I have a DSB radio I designed around this VFO and use it all the time.

Re: Look at this on eBay, ubitx, budget test equipment.
10dB sounds a little more reasonable for measuring RF. I made up a batch of PI network attenuators for 3, 6, 10, and 12dB.

Re: Look at this on eBay, ubitx, budget test equipment.
Richard, thanks for reminding me abiut the attenuator. You sure thats enough? I was figuring 10dB. According to the Resistor tables for a Pi it seems easier. Just my own opinion... 73, Kelly K5AID

Needed a break, so thought I would make AD7C's VFO
Thought I needed a break so I thought I would make an AD7 C vfo since I already had an AD 9850. Well shame on me for trusting a schematic.? I seriously built this twice, on perfboard and ... after i
