Re: uBITX for sale $67
Hi Jack, I almost pulled the trigger on this as well, but thought I have a V4 just sitting on the shelf with a Nextion display all hooked up and updated and i haven't used it in a month or so or been

Re: Tracing receive signal for low signal
Dave Did you try the simple experiment of plugging in a 40m dipole? First adjust audio gain so you hear some noise. When you add the antenna the noise should increase unless the bfo is way off. If

uBITX for sale $67
uBITX transceiver for sale.? I built the radio but didn't use it beyond a few quick CW QSOs.? Unfortunately it's unlikely I'll use it again.? Well packaged and shipped in the USA.? Transceiver and

Re: Tracing receive signal for low signal
Thanks I'll try those new measurements tonight.? Do the measurements so far say anything?? Seems like it's taking a lot more to get .1 vp-p output than jim's board from all test points.? The weird

Re: Tracing receive signal for low signal
TP 16/17 should be "around " 12 mhz ...TP 13/14? 45 mhz ..TP 1/2 ...whatever the reciever is tuned to you could use the 3rd harmonic of your SG at TP13/14 45/3=15mhz??? ..maybe Jim

Re: Tracing receive signal for low signal
Cool !! ...Put Signal Gen on CW-2 Pins ...measure there... Change freq +/- 100 khz or so ...Should be broadband at that point with scope indication varying showing AUDIO bandpass ...at that point, the

Re: Low output on CW UBITX
Not to overlook the obvious. Are you driving into a dummy load? I have seen lots of variation with mis matched antennas.

Re: My first Homebrewed radio: The DC40
Thanks for sharing it! Si and quality dds allow for building any conventional receivers (non ADC) with good characteristics. I far prefer using them than a brand rig for casual listening. My approach

Re: Tracing receive signal for low signal
If your goal is to repair your radio, I would short circuit your signal tracing a moment and try to decide what else might be wrong. Does the display work correctly? Do you hear any signals on your

My first Homebrewed radio: The DC40
Hello everyone, I've spent this month building Farhan's DC40 direct conversion receiver. I adapted it to use a si5351a VFO from QRP Labs, and it's also easy to make it multi-band. I have it set up on

Same stage gains mentioned in dB found here on the homebrew UBITX receiver where I measured each 50 ohm block separately with a 50 ohm termination, except that I¡¯m using a 45 MHz LC filter with 3-4

Re: Tracing receive signal for low signal
Ooops I think I didn't do it right for TP14 and 17.? My signal generator only goes to 25MHZ so couldn't do TP14. I can retry tp 17. I was testing at 7.150MHZ in general otherwise.

Re: Tracing receive signal for low signal
Took off the attenuator and measured at tp 13 took 200mv to get to .1vp-p tp14 took 1.4v to get to .1 vp-p tp17 3.5v only got to 30mv p-p tp16 3.5v only got to 50mv p-p

Similar to Jim's measurements These are approximate since I don't have equipment that can measure to microvolts - I estimated based on my max volts into my attenuator and calculating the lower
