You a decent heatsink. I could post pictures of what I have for a setup of you'd like. Also, replace those 25vdc caps or they will make nice foreworks. I replaced them with a set of 200vdc caps cause

No, you should be watching the 25V cap on the PA power line fly across the room. Vince. -- Michigan VHF Corp. http://www.nobucks.net/ http://www.CDupe.com/ http://www.metalworkingfun.com

I'm referring to the Raduino replacement card. It uses no resistors for the CW key inputs.

Re: Using IRF530 outputs and 2N3553 drivers in ubitx
Has anyone yet derived a way to create a low power and a 'higher' power mode while keeping the necessary power transistors bias where they should be? One scenario I want to use my uBitX in, is for

BITX40 output power at 36 volts to the IRF510

I would like to run the IRF510 in the BITX40 at 36 volts. If I do this should I be measuring about 40-45 watts output power? Are there components that I need to change out besides going to a bigger

Using IRF530 outputs and 2N3553 drivers in ubitx
Good Afternoon, Finally received and housed my ubitx. On receiving the PCB, I replaced the IRF 510 outputs with IRF 530's. These tend to run a little cooler and are just as inexpensive. I tested the

I would echo the positive news story - getting my uBitx up and running on Saturday and setting up only took an evening, the 'poor audio quality' turned out to be the BFO frequency being off - easy to

The technique using WWV is more than good enough if you keep one thing in mind. The mater osc referenced to the crystal osc is the source for the HFOm IFLO and BFO so they all move if the master OSC?
