Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
Ben & Jack Ben first I've got a 3.5" display here's what mine gives. it's this section that gives the display id. ?reg(0x00D3) 00 00 94 87. ?In my case that's 0x9487 Read Registers on MCUFRIEND

Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
Jack, i plugged my mcufriend display into an Arduino Uno as a shield. ?It lights up nicely (white). ?When I run the LCD_ID_readreg sketch in the mcufriend library examples, it compiles and loads.

Re: Older Board mods for RArduino
Aww, Tim. Researching your problem, building a solution, and measuring the results is more than half the fun! But Jerry gave you all the info for your question already. Hi. john AD5YE

Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
Jack, for those viewing messages as plain text (as I do) the line to be added is: sendFrequency(currentFrequency); // Send frequency to chip 73 - Mark N1VQW

Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
I downloaded a new copy from group.io and that fixed it. Will look at your suggestion but it's working so may moot The first line is in the sketch but not the second line. Send frequency to chip.

Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
OK. It seems some idiot removed a line from the code that might make a difference. (OK...it was me...) In loop, add the yellow line: ? ? ? encoderDirection = 0;? ? ? DoRangeCheck();? ? ?

Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
Wow...that makes no sense as I really didn't touch the VFO code. I'll take a look at it. It has to be the move of some of the AD9850 pins. Jack, W8TEE To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, August 8,

Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
David, Jack, Did you have an issue with vfo out? I installed this morning and I didn't have any output on the vfo out pins. Moved to out2 and had a signal. I thought maybe I had a bad ad9850 or u2

Hi Jack I thought you should know about this. I've been waiting for the socketed wires to connect to the board, they arrived this morning. I had your Analyser code installed in the Arduino, hooked

Re: W8TEE Software Release 1.05
Ben: You could run the mcufriend library example named LCD_ID_readreg.ino which will tell you the ID of the graphics chip. You could then go into setup() and look at the switch/case block to see if

Kevin, what great photos and build!? I made my enclosure from wood and clear acrylic so all of the wiring and components can be seen.? Also, my hand mic is under construction, made from wood also!?

Simon, The audio tone is not so tinny after the mod on my board. Unfortunately I had to get back to the farm immediately and I will be back on 7th. No lab here, so I am curious!! Cheers Raj
