Re: Conflicting information
Jack and ...., I tried adding a fan very similar to the one pictured and it introduced a "whirring" noise into the audio that I could not get rid of. It was wired up to the main supply voltage via the

Re: Handheld Mic w/ PTT for BITX40
Almost the same here, loads of spare connectors from previous projects, and a spare microphone. Result... no outlay for new bits. More to spend on strip board and knobs etc. Phil - G7BZD

Re: Handheld Mic w/ PTT for BITX40
I really should have updated this thread. I have gone a different direction with the mic. I built one from scratch, and it's worked out nicely. I used 8 pin mic connectors because I got 5 of them for

Re: Conflicting information
I have a 60mm PC fan in my holiday tin enclosure without vents. I use the separate PA power input with a step down buck converter to power the fan without the noise you get when tapping into the main

Re: Change from TX offset to RX offset in future code versions?
Reformatting makes it easier to read. diff -b ignore changes in white space. But I don't plan on messing with the Raduino code. I'm in the process of writing one myself. Vince - KA8CSH -- Michigan VHF

Frustrating. I did find several listings on eBay if that is suitable. All located in China however so subject to several weeks wait for shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm//121792606612

Re: Change from TX offset to RX offset in future code versions?
I tend to agree with Bob. ? But Allard is doing a great job in getting that firmware sorted out, and I'm looking forward to seeing the end result of his process. I've been kibitzing now and then as

Re: Conflicting information
Yep, I do think that's better. BTW, I think I'm going to add a 25mmx25mm mini fan to the back of the case right behind the PA. (See picture.) My enclosure doesn't have any airflow, so I found these

I'm waiting for a small adapter PCB that one reader is making for converting a Type I to a Type II footprint. Even if it costs $2-3 it's still cheaper than the Type II. I'll post when I find out about

I wondered when you were gonna ask me to dance again Jack. You're absolutely right. I should have gotten information about the Arduino Nano used on the Raduino board. So here it is.- Power The Arduino

Re: D7/C130 connected incorrectly
The schematic agrees with how the board is built, so the schematic should remain as it is. But I agree with K7IOW, looks like an error to me, and that the intent was to wire up K1 same as K2. Could

Re: Change from TX offset to RX offset in future code versions?
Hi Allard, There may well be reasons that you prefer TX Offset which I don't appreciate (like memory size), but it really should be a RX offset. Here's a final example. Say that WB4SON has been

Re: Spurious RF at beginning of transmission
I like Raj's 0.1uF fix, very simple and elegant. ?Oh, and very cheap. Could add a jumper across it when operating CW. Also, remove a new jumper that supplies power to the mic amp, not needed for CW.
