Re: zbitx hung-up on startup
Oh heck. You would have received a usb adapter to connect to regular usb
devices. But you will need a mini hdmi to connect to a monitor.

Re: zbitx hung-up on startup
When you plug into the “CAT” port you are actually plugging into the microcontroller that runs the display stuff. ?The ports to the left are three ports to the Raspberry Pi main computer. ?I

Re: zBITX CW Keyer
Might have to check to see if they have implemented the faster polling that
solved the problem for the sBitx. And of course, there is always the
possibility of an error somewhere in code or

Re: zBITX CW Keyer
I have also been a CW op for 40+ years and am unable to send anything accurately with the built in keyer. Will try with an external keyer later today.

Re: Zbitx external microphone recommendations
Interesting point, and probably relates to why there is a momentary
transmit activation of the radio when plugging in a microphone.

Hello Ashhar
I've received my zBITX this morning and have been listening on the bands in different modes. So far all seems to work as expected and it is fun to use this little rig.
But I'm lost by

Re: zbitx hung-up on startup
I had a similar thing with the radio hung up after about 30 minutes of operation.? That was with FW 1.02.
After updating to 1.0.4 in RPI and frontpanel all runs nicely.

Re: Zbitx external microphone recommendations
Hi there
I find it odd that the pinout of the microphone is different from all other radios having 3.5mm stereo connector.
They "all" do have PTT to tip and ground and microphone to ring and ground.

Re: Why? Why in bitx and ubitx is single balanced (2 diodes) mod/demod instead of double balanced??
It was just because, in a modulator, we didnt need to balance out the
audio. The audio automatically gets filtered out by the crystal filter

Re: Power for zBitx
Me too. So now I have to decide whether it’s better to use them in the simple battery holder, or use the alternative battery holder that I also got, that steps it up to 9V and has a USB-C charger.
