Interesting point, and probably relates to why there is a momentary transmit activation of the radio when plugging in a microphone. Gordon KX4Z

I find it odd that the pinout of the microphone is different from all other radios having 3.5mm stereo connector.?
They "all" do have PTT to tip and ground and microphone to ring and ground. Means that I would need a adaptor to connect up my microphones? :-(
