Re: sBitx v3 - problem with nonstandard callsigns
Yep it’s a known problem with ft8_lib. I was trying to hack on that a few months ago: https://github.com/kgoba/ft8_lib/compare/master...ec1oud:ft8_lib:master It wasn’t complete enough to work

Re: uBITX v6 PTT stuck
Hi Vule, 1) Do You have original ubitx V6 display? If Yes, is "TX" sign disappearing from the screen after TX is switched OFF? 2) Is this happening when toggling PTT (also for longer period) with RF

I have to believe that those who were able to order the first 250 radios will be advised when their radios shipped - HF Signals has indicated they would be sending out tracking numbers as they ship

Re: reviving my sbitx v3
It's kind of odd, but not really, if I were trying to diagnose something that I built myself, I would have no problem. I have no problem doing mods to commercial built equipment. But, yes, I would be

Re: uBITX v6 PTT stuck
This is often due to rf getting into the control circuits. Are you using an unbalanced antenna? EFHW perhaps?

Re: reviving my sbitx v3
I agree about Heathkit. I miss the HW101 I had in the late '70s. I could almost draw parts of the schematic by memory. (Yes, I played/worked on it that often!) I stayed active in cw, ssb, rtty and

Re: reviving my sbitx v3
You're going to learn a lot in the process of this repair. Be certain to protect Q101 with a small resistor in its drain lead or you are likely to just repeat the whole performance all over
