Connecting the Pi with an GPIO extension cable
Hi all, I'm building my sBitx into a clam-shell case. Imagine a chunky laptop with a 10in screen. The Pi is to be mounted behind the screen and connect to the sBitx via a 30cm shielded GPIO

Re: FT8 <¡> in call sign field
I'd like to order a ubitz 6/7 but their website looks pretty old and the prices are static?? I'm in the UK so is it wise to order through PayPal (HFSignals) or is it a scam?? Is it current or where

Re: FT8 <¡> in call sign field

Re: ubitx audio amp problem discovered
Ignore the above. My input impedance of the buffer was incorrect (again). Though I've remedied that, I'm still unable to to re-work the mic amp for a gain of 2-3 with or without a buffer. Maybe

Re: FT8 <¡> in call sign field
The solution is to use external wsjt-x or jtdx. The 7" LCD is not enough for the display, because these applications require a higher resolution. Use an external hdmi monitor. sbitx only recognizes

Re: FT8 <¡> in call sign field
That happened to me a few days ago on one or two contacts. Not sure what it was other than maybe the other operator not having the callsign properly set up. wrote:

FT8 <¡> in call sign field
I was out on POTA the other day and kept getting called by someone but all I could see was <¡> instead of their callsign using the sBITX app. Very frustrating. Any idea on how to deal with this? Do

Re: Upgrade to Pi48GB Raspberry Pi
I've talked to more people on SSB with my sBitx than I have with my FTDX10. I did swap out the Pi4 2GB for a Pi4 8GB but that certainly wasn't necessary for SSB.? I like to record audio and video of

Re: Upgrade to Pi48GB Raspberry Pi
I would keep the IC7300, just a personal opinion as for me the SSB side of the sbitx needs work to improve it, I won¡¯t go into it here as there is lots of info about it in the group and of course
