Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Ok, here are a few comments: 1. The only tried and tested operating system for sbitx is 32 bit operating system. Those trying the 64 bit versions are encouraged to do so at their own risk. We will

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
I used a stock v3.00 image *AND* upgraded to v3.02 so my testing and observations were relevant here. I am happy to report to Steve, et al., that removing the wisdom files and letting the sBitx app

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Hi, I think some of us lost track of that, since this topic is about the v3.02 upgrade. I would suggest you start a new topic with a description of your image, the observations you have made, things

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Yes, that is an interesting question to me as well!? ?I saw the changes and had no idea how they get into the arduino that does the swr/power function. -- Regards, Dave, N1AI

Rafael's 64-bit image
Rafael, I'm getting an error on boot. Can not load overlay i2s-nmap. This is from your image. A search turns up nothing. What's missing? -- Hank W6IR

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Hi Steve. I will delete the wisdom files and perform more testing. I am using a stock, v3.0 image that came with my prebuilt sBitx. No other upgrades or updates have been installed. No other devices

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Hi Joel; Sorry that this caused you grief. There's a number of ways to address this in the future: 1) Have a "Release Notes" file that accompanies new major releases, 2) Update the wiki to state

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Ideally there'd be staged releases, a period of time for testers to try new software and report issues before it was published, an upgrade document, some release notes, etc.? I assume this (

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
A bit of googling says "wisdom files contain saved information about how to optimally compute (Fourier) transforms of various sizes". Steve is saying to delete them so they get re-created by the

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Steve, Just what are these wisdom files? I thought my link was broken on my desktop but that wasn't it at all, i needed to wait like you said for a minute. Why isn't this information included in the

Re: CW Keyboard Crashes #sBitx #sBitxDevel
For the adventurous, impatient types, the attached script makes a new copy of the current v3.02 afarhan code in a new folder/directory then patches in Steve's fix, then builds a new sbitx

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Hi JJ; You could try deleting any .wis wisdom files from the sbitx and sbitx/data directories, then re-starting sbitx. Don't forget that there will be an approx. 1 minute delay the first time you

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Let me understand, to get this swr bridge update I would have to remove the Atiny85 chip off the board and then update it with swr-bridge.ino in the Arduino IDE? Joel N6ALT

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Given that there are 32-bit and 64-bit versions and users, is it possible to separate the versions on github, and have the user's system select the proper version when updating?? Or is this a pipe

Re: An update to the sbitx software - v 3.02
Steve's note shows that the update script includes./build sbitx so doing it again isn't needed. I would say having the update do a build is probably a good thing, given we seem to have a mix of

An HF Amplifier Design/Education Resource
I stumbled on this while continuing to try to understand how BJT and FET amps work.? It appears to fill in a lot of gaps between papers by "those that already know" and folks like me that don't.
