BTW, you can use your CW paddle in the mic jack to serve as PTT in USB?mode, no mic required.

That should have read no RF out...

Re: Modified sBitx received, ???

Joel, check out the Wiki (on the left side of my screen) under sbitx topics / mods page/ Sbitx upgrade instructions. I think looking at those instructions will show where the clock goes (it hangs from the back of the display). The clock module is powered and controlled through that 4-wire cable, it doesn't plug into anything further. It seems they are all shipped without a battery, you'll need to add that.

V5 Locks up on CW transmit 17m and above

Hello
I have a uBitx v5 that I received unassembled.? Its is built using a nextion 5inch display running kd8cec software and installed in an inkits case.?
The issues I am having are when I go into transmit on the higher bands 17m or higher, when I key up on cw, it stays stuck in transmit and the side tone disapears.? ? While the tx/rx indicators switch back to rx when I release the key, the radio is still transmitting power (according to my Bird 43 meter), and still drawing tx levels of power from the power supply (linear astron supply).? At one point I had my computer speakers turned on (connected to the computer) and they had quite a bit of feedback coming out of them.? But turning them off did not remedy the issue.?
Whenever the radio locks into transmit the only way I can get it to stop is to cycle the power.?
It is only having this issue on cw, not on ssb.? These transmissions are into a dummy load, which none of my other radios have an issue with. I have attempted to put ferrite beads on the power lines into the radio and a common mode choke on the coax output. None of this has made a difference.? I'm assuming that my issue is rf related, but not sure where to start looking, and that it only happens during cw transmit and not ssb has me confused.
Any input/advise would be greatly appreciated, as I'd like to be able to get this rig working properly before I add any features to it.

Thanks
