Re: sBitx process no longer starts
John ,more than likely yes.mosfets can be matched exactly just like any semiconductor? but if you purchase? a pair and they are not specifically"matched per order,"then you might as well buy a bag

Re: sBitx process no longer starts
I've made some progress. I took out the LM338 and put in a LM2596 based switcher. I bought some PA MOSFETS (IRFZ24N) off Amazon but I'm not sure of their quality or whether they're mislabeled.

Re: uBITX V6 - Need Help Before Purchasing One
160m is totally doable. You ¡°should¡± use a 160m low pass filter after the uBITX and before the antenna. ?Why? There are no internal uBITX 160m filters. My ¡°friend¡± ran it w/o a 160m filter

day light again BFO
I noticed that the BFO in the daylight build is rather noisy and microphonic. I changed a few parts and the orientation but that has not helped. I have the BFO/MIXER and the audio section together.

Re: #sbitx: wishlist
You forgot a step between 1 and 2, lower the RF power level. So three steps to tune and three more steps to put things back. This is why there needs to be a TUNE button. Not only does it speed things

Re: #sbitx: wishlist
Rolf, The another way is to: 1. Type \cwinput key (choose the straight key). 2. Press the PTT for a continuous wave output. Remember to put the cwinput back to your original setting!

Re: SBITX remote operation
There could be an HERMESLite2-based protocol implementation daemon which talks to the sBitx control + data planes, or a gnuradio sink and source which could be connected to ip-based communication
