The JackAl add-on is not an HF Signals product.? You will need to ask the JackAl developers (Jack W8TEE), but as I understand it, the raduino is replaced by the Jackal board. With no reply in 9 days I just ordered the V4.

He posts here regularly.? He's also posted in the various threads about relay replacement (he reported that current production boards have relays that bring harmonics into compliance) and various spur fixes (he's come up with 2 or 3.? He's also stated that all fixes are rolled into the production cycle.

I look forward to a photo of your board when it arrives - I'd like to see which spur fix is applied. I'm really enjoying my very early V3 board - I'm definitely going to get at least one more, and I'm scratch building another one.? Too much fun! ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýTHANK YOU. I THINK I WANT THE CEC SOFTWARE AND I WANT TO ADD A 3.5" NEXTION TOUCH DISPLAY. FIRST I NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE? DR LEE CODE INTO MY uBITX V4.3 THEN ADD THE 3.5" DISPLAY. I WILL TAKE IT ONE STEP AT A TIME. RIGHT NOW I AM ADDING MODS FOR THE WEAK AUDIO AND AGC. I AM RUNNING WIN7. THE TERMS LIKE HEX FILES, COMPILER ETC HAVE ME MYSTIFIED, BUT I WILL WORK ON IT. Re: Is push pull hf amp has higher spectral purity
The stock Bitx40 has a problem with the 7.2MHz birdie not only on receive but also it produces a spur on transmit which does not meet fcc spec.
You could use it on 7.1MHz and below or change the vfo to high side and move the carrier oscillator to the other side of the filter (Allard's software). Whether you can do that depends on the xtal filter in your Bitx40. You may get lots of carrier and poor sideband rejection. The Bitx is a good entry into homebrew. You might get away with using it barefoot but take care if you want to push to higher power. 73 Brian. |
Re: uBITX V4.3
Arduino source files are .ino There is an arduino hex loader program that uses .hex file extensions I believe that the question is related to one of the various mods having stored the files in compressed mode, one of which uses .MD and? another .ICO.? He will need to look up extraction programs for the above compressed libraries (WinZip or 7Zip or similar).? I use WinZip. Evan AC9TU |
Re: UbitX audio hiss but no rx
OK, I went back and looked through the prior emails to get a handle on what is going on.
First off, need to know the details of your build? - uBitx, Bitx40, bitx20 which one if uBitx, then version (4 is the latest) - Which version of Raduino (Nano) software are you using? - Verify that you have installed the resistor for the CW keyer, or if using the CEC built in keyer the dual resistors for that - did you change out the nano? I am not sure that I can help, however will try with the above information. Evan AC9TU |

What machine are you running on and with what op system? Those file types are for Microsoft Windows and your OS should have programs to unpack them if you're on a Windows machine. There are some converters out there, but I've never used them. Jack, W8TEE

Re: UbitX audio hiss but no rx
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOk, so I've tried that, tried manually shorting the connections, nothing. I've clearly got something wrong in the wiring up process. I did get a more transmission out which I picked up on another radio, but it switched itself back to LSB.Just checking, how robust are these boards? How likely is it that I've bloen a MOSFET or something? I'm sure it's probably just a duff connection, but short of starting again I don't know what to do with it. The uBitx is full breakin.? You just attach a key and press it.

Re: Totally Absurd -- Farhan being questioned in a police station about doctored sat picture

Another piece of class stupidity? : may years go I was working as an Instr engr in Melbourne on the telemetry and other matters to with a gas plant to go up in far north Pakistan.? This was wild west country where warlords not the? Pakistani army or police force made the law. included was a spread spectrum modem box that communicated from? here to there (I wont' say where for obvious reasons )? Data was gas flow rate , temperature that sort of thing.? Well someone in Pakistan suddenly had an idea that in a Paki/Indian war,? Ashan Farhan's brother/uncle? might lob over some rocket? (indirectly guided by the frequency hopping signal)? and wipe out the gas processing station.!!!? Pakistan does not have a great deal of natural gas so this would be a significant act. ? So we had to write a technical paper why this was next to impossible (did anyone ever read it ??)? and then got permission to put the link in. (Cable / Fibre optic is always? possible but is a much more expensive option if you have to trench for that one cable only).? So If I suddenly go QTE you know that the Paki secret police has got to me. |
Re: God Speed on your flight Farhan
Buxton said Fox-1Cliff will share dispenser space with ExseedSat-1, a CubeSat built by an eight-person team at Exseed Space Innovations Private Limited, based in Hyderabad, India, and co-founded by Ashhar Farhan, VU2ESE, the designer of the ?BitX SSB/CW transceiver. Farhan and engineer Gurudatta Panda, VU3GDP, were on hand for the integration. ExseedSat-1 carries an Amateur Radio FM transponder and APRS digipeater, with a repeater, digipeater, and telemetry downlink of 145.900 MHz FM, and a repeater and digipeater uplink of 435.340 MHz.? |
