Chip, your testing shows no modulation input.? So you will get no output power.
Did you try keying up the uBITX in CW mode? glenn |

Hi to all.. |
Re: Output power
brad martin
Thank you all for the replies. Unfortunately my idea on paper does not look like it¡¯s going to work out based on my experiments last night. My idea was that I have a cb type swr meter and I was going to make it into a digital swr and power meter and well being that it¡¯s not for Hf the output voltage of the meter didn¡¯t line up with output power. .6v on 80, 1v on 40 and 30 and 1.5v on 20. So oh well on that one. I have Arduinos all over the place so using a mega for this is not a loss for me. I almost use them as coasters at this point. I would see a deal on them and get them over the last few years and as far as time goes I always try to make time for my hobbies because life is short right :).

I have seen the dummy load with a cap and diode before and have been planning on adding that to my dummy load as well. When choosing the diode what properties are you looking for? I have a goal most people would probably say I¡¯m crazy for doing. The plan is that my first HF contact will be done using things I have made, built, or repaired. So far everything I have (power supply, uBITX, antenna, CW paddle, dummy load, and other random stuff) and the swr meter is the only thing I have left that has not has been modified. 73 Brad KG5SPR On Wed, Jun 20, 2018 at 3:39 PM Jerry Gaffke via Groups.Io <jgaffke=[email protected]> wrote: The BAV21 is not a bad choice for the dummy load dectector. |
Re: Stray RF?

Allison I don't recall whether it occurs on antenna and/or dummy load. I'll check it out this evening. Poor grounding could also be part of the problem because of all the in and out of the case making changes my grounding is lacking. I guess I better fix that as well.? Marco, I had to make an unscheduled trip past Skycraft today so I picked up a handful of clip-on ferrite cores. I'm still on factory length cables myself.? I have a lot to relearn as it just seemed so much easier building my own equipment in the late 60's. Heck building an ATV transmitter on 23cm seemed easier then. Thanks to both of you. 73 Bill WA8VIH/4 On Wed, Jun 20, 2018 at 12:51 PM, M Garza <mgarza896@...> wrote:

Is it or is it NOT Farhan's company?....he does little it seems, other than popup now and again on here, my local postal people have nothing to do with the poor way these kits are packed !! I doubt that this kit would pass Ofcom spec's with regards to harmonic suppression.. Stop defending Farhan...let him answer the questions here

Ray before you send messages to the thousands of users on this list I would suggest you learn how to include at least a portion of the message you are replying to.? You just sent four messages in a row that appear to be responses to other posts.? Without including something from the post in question you are just aimlessly ranting.

Please dont be so insulting towards my comments...you may think your the god of the Bitx community and of the arduino world but there are many out there that just keep working away to build and get going projects. We normally dont pass comments because when we do, people like you just disect the posts and turn them into something that they are not...B***C**P is hardly a term to be used on here

This will be a jumbled Mess But bear with me. I did the best I could to make this understandable and have included the PDF document as an attachment that the measurement were listed from
As I have said before you will find my measurements very close to what they should be . Just for the fun of it I replaced the 2 IRF510 and made no difference in the out puts. Any clues or help would be greatly appreciated.? This is one of the boards That I'm afraid might have been shoved out the door to make room for Ver4 Farhan paid DHL shipping when I only paid for Indian Postal. I'm sure this is not the case though. But someone may have skipped the final Transmit check. The receive is very good? Someday soon Maybe a Little Transmit. I hope this makes sense to someone . TX, PTT

While I am usually one of the first to defend the ?BITX, I think we are letting the boys in Hyderabad off the hook too easily.? There are some glaring misstatements if not outright lies on their website.? For example, the very first line on the HF Signals website states "Build the ?BITX transceiver in an evening".? This is a complete misrepresentation.? I built mine in the MORNING and it works better than expected.? What are they trying to pull?? These charlatans go on to claim "with features you demand for operating ease".? How dare they imply I am demanding.? If I want to operate without ease that is my business.? Perhaps the most glaring falsehood from these hucksters is the claim that the ?BITX "Lets you Explore the World".? While I've been able to complete QSO's with operators on 6 continents with a stock board I am yet to log Antarctica.? Don't give me this Oceania nonsense, you promised I could explore the world and I expect, nay demand all of the world from this rig.? Don't get me started on how I've only been able to work 49 of 50 US states on this "quality" product.? I could go on and on but I have to write an angry letter to McDonald's.? I just found out those cheap fraudsters do not use any bluefin tuna in their so called filet-o-fish sandwich.
