Re: Teensy DSP filter
The default behaviour for a 'generic' configuration, i.e. not installed in an FT817, is to pull pin0 low to advance through the filters.
The code will pull-up the pin, so all you need to do is attach it to ground through a pushbutton. Every time you press the button, it will switch to the next filter type. In order to enable this behaviour, you will need to comment out the FT817 line in settings.h #define FT817 so it looks like // #define FT817 The wiring is as in this diagram (with the jack sockets replaced by direct connections to the uBitx audio chain): HTH Gerry |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi All, Dave WI6Rs second
link, namely View All Messages In Topic (8):?/g/BITX20/top You can use the IDE of your choice along with PlatformIO doing the low-level compile/linking. For example, I use Geany, an open-source IDE that is very powerful yet simple and convenient, and it is available for Windows, Linux, Mac. Using PlatformIO with Github opens the door for automatic tools to aid the automatic online revision-level checking from Travis-CI.org. And those tools are platform independent; that is to say, they work for Windows, Linux, and Mac, because the Travis-CI.org stuff is done on the cloud, on a virtual computer. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by the Travis-CI.org stuff.? Neil N0FN helped me understand the process in a few private emails. Having spent much of a lifetime in software development on large projects, I keenly appreciate those tools to aid in multi-developer revision-level control and coordination, and I strongly encourage a ubitx community collaboration along that line. For anyone venturing into ubitx code changes, I urge you to consider Neil's approach. Once the one-time learning curve is over, it will yield recurring benefits for all. If the Panasonic relay you mention is the correct part number then you can get them from ebay.

Bob, WB7DMX The MicroBITX like other BITX before it are what attracts those who like to home brew gear with the satisfaction of building and likely modifying it to suit their own needs and desires.? It is a good working transceiver.? I think it will be a done deal when I 'm done making it do what I want with whatever mods I come up with or draw on from the community.? Heck for me maybe it will never be done as this rig has so many possibilities. I will likely buy at least one more because I can see so many opportunities with it. It is no surprise that there will be at the very least a few thousand of the MicroBITX out there running.? I can't think of a commercial HF radio manufacture that's ever seen this kind of success in a few short weeks.?? It's a very innovative approach to a transceiver that offers all band (80-10M) coverage and has super potential to do even more.? The specs speak for themselves. There will likely be some modifications that will get implemented during succeeding runs of boards (just as it does with commercial manufactures - the difference is here we will all know about them) and the software that runs it will have many possibilities as users (the community) develop it.?? For me I was originally attracted to the project because of the ability to generate VFO, Heterodyne Oscillator and BFO from a single source Si5351.? Home brew gear now can be a challenge with the last of the really good crystal manufactures shutting down a few months back. International Crystal Mfg in Oklahoma has made to order crystals (superbly) since I was a kid in the 50's and '60s and now my planned homebrew projects (for my retirement) are in trouble without them.? But here is a complete radio to work with.?? Moreover I personally bought and built this MicroBITX to get familiar working with developing software.? It's been 25 years since I actually did any for a living, so its like starting over, but that should be the fun.? Hardware I'm pretty good at, but here is the opportunity to learn and have fun with it all along the way.? Here you get an amazing working radio as a base line to experiment with.? ? With your background you should have little trouble.? If anyone runs into trouble.? The community has an amazing group of Elmers with experience in so many areas.? Help is pretty readily available.? Soon you may find yourself one of those Elmers. How satisfying is that. All that aside I made my first contact just minutes after bringing up my unit.? 600 Miles with about 7W on 40M with dipole at 34 feet.? A 59 signal report.? ? Casual contact all around CA, OR, UT as I play with the radio.? Looking forward to listening for folks on Sunday (tonight) BITX frequencies! I am trying out some software from one of the community and it has improved the radio's operation in my opinion.? So now I'm anxious to start trying some mods of my own.? Both hardware and software.?? So many toys so little time... Enjoy the time! Re: worried now
We are not looking at any potential changes to the circuit. We are upgrading the software. The software will continue to get upgraded. On the other hand, there are many people adapting and modifying the ubitx to suit their purpose, that should not distract those who would like to use it plain-vanilla. - f On Sun, Jan 7, 2018 at 1:49 PM, <wb7dmx@...> wrote: from what all I am reading hear, it looks like Ashar Farhan is still developing the Ubitx, doing modified, and updating the board, that being the case, then the first batch that was sold will not have these mods done to them. |

It is a DS2 - 2 means latching type I think and has 2 coils as per
Panasonic datasheet for this type number!

Any chance that the replacement relay is polarised. With these relays with wrong polarity it wont latch!

from what all I am reading hear, it looks like Ashar Farhan is still developing the Ubitx, doing modified, and updating the board, that being the case, then the first batch that was sold will not have these mods done to them.
now my question is will the second batch that has not shipped yet have these mods done to them ? i? ordered mine thinking it was a done deal, a good working transceiver. but from what I am reading here it's not the case. maybe I am looking at this wrong, if so please correct me. |
Re: Code snipits
ronald, it would be best if you used git and pushed your code on github. easier for us to merge into the main. - f On Sun, Jan 7, 2018 at 9:34 AM, Dave Bottom <ars.kd6az@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe Panasonic DS2Y-S-DC12V looks to be compatible and doesn¡¯t have a polarized coil.? Available from Mouser for $3.14. Mike K5ESS ? The relay is polarized opposite to the ubitx's requirements, looks like the VRS2H arnt polarized, so no issues there, I tacked a spare DS2E onto the bottom of K1's coils in reverse and it works.... so i just have to install the DS2E on he bottom of the board... lol... |

excellent thanks to all, i put the relay in upside down and the feed back issue is gone, as well as im now getting watts out!
