Re: Pelican cases
I just ordered two. If they turn out to be of decent construction, I will get a couple in a larger size for my CERT radio kits. Nice find on the coupon! 73 de bill K7WXW

Ok. I'll do the prod tests. Maybe not tonight?? I've been cutting into my sleep time way too much to try and get this done. That's probably increased the frustration factor. Cutting 2 hours out of

Re: CW Key/Keyer/paddle idea
Well, the Nano takes 5V so that has to be floating around somewhere and most LCD's are 5V devices. (Many TFT are 3.3V.) Jack, W8TEE To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, December 21, 2017 2:39 PM

Re: CW Key/Keyer/paddle idea
Please be aware that those I2C adapters pull the I2C lines up to +5. If you have 3.3v I2C devices in the system, like SI570, and others, then the +5 I2C exceeds their specs. See my earlier post on the

Re: uBITX works!
Very kewl. As a matter of interest, my old NorCal KC1 keyer has a straight key input - finally found the documentation to hook it up. So now plenty good CW until a possible upgrade improves things.

Re: SUCCESS, uBITX pop reduction with ONE added component
The corresponding place is C115 in the BitX40. Looks like the circuit is similar enough that the other issues we're pursuing would apply. This isn't a total fix but for one component it sure helps.

I use mine on CW (granted not in a while but that's another story) with a qrpguys keyer, I don't use the built in keyer. Works great no sig issues and with the nescaf I built into it runs top notch
