¿ªÔÆÌåÓý?That sketch will print out a few diagnostics as it goes along --- it also emulates a FT857d I believe and might be computer controllable through the usb port.....at least with WINLINK software....haven't tried anything else....

WOW!!!? ?So now you have a working Raduino!??
I'm attaching a sketch that worked well with one of my rigs -- is is from BEFORE? Allard added his interuppt part.? ?I was too lazy to keep with that level of changes.....this should compile and run without the interrupt stuff.
I'm watching the video that was suggested and after an initial thing dependent on a scope -- that is UNNESSARY IN YOUR CASE because you already now have a known good Raduino --- the video is extremely good at checking stage by stage.
?
If the enclosed sketch causes your Bitx to begin to RECEIVVE thenyou are halfway there!

Look at line 2 of the sketch, it'll tell you the version number.

Gordon's sketch worked but Allard's did not? What version of Allard's sketch are you using?

I have to sell some stuff but I will be getting one, looks like a ton of fun and will be a nice addition (I kept typing addiction) to the rest of my qrp goodies. If you do get one "Hotspring 44" you will love it they are a blast to mod and build. Plus for an entry rig they are the best you could ask for in the cost. ? 73 ? David |

Vince that is a very cool story about the FT-101.....one of the most mind-blowing things ever happened to me was when Jerry here finally got me to understand that a mixer would do quite well with a SQUARE WAVE INPUT.......I never understood mixers so well, ever in my life before reading things on this forum.....opened a new vista for me about radios.

So I made a little circuit that plugged into the crystal sockets after I removed all of 'em, and it connected to an arduino nano and an Si5351. Change the band switch and the 5351 injects the right signal. They were all a bit off freq tho. I didn't pay much attention at the time but it's gotta come back to the bench soon, so I'll take care of that as well. Vince. So i just change the crystal frequency in the sketch and bingo! no calibratin needed. Measure the BFO cystal oscillator andput THAT inthe sketch also and BINGO! perfect frequency accuracy right out of the box. Then I realized I could replace theVFO in my Heathkit--- measured all the heterodyne oscillators (using a receiver) and the BFO oscillators in theheahtkit and rewrote the sketch to PERFECTLY control the heathkit --- also made it simulate an FT-857d so now computer controllable --- I put the sketch on GitHub (never did THAT before!) and bingo, we have a computer controllable, digitally accurate Heahtkit athat is is virutally immmune to EMP. For our EOC. I can't help but add to this if only to say....Don't beat yourself up. People are trying to help you DON'T give up or in....I have been a ham 7 years or so most of which I was a tech. I am not an EE I am 100% self educated with help from elmers from time to time, both here and in person. Ask questions, ask your club they won't bite...if they do ask someone else. ?Take it one step at a time, one section at a time. Don't be so hard on yourself. I have so many "projects" that died or were killed by me and later down the road I fixed! I had to learn by doing not by reading to pass my general (not very good at book learning or "memorizing answers"). I won't even tell you how many times I took my exam before I passed but I never gave up. ? Good luck in any event. ?73 ? David |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHa!? You didn't ask --- I? ?**oFFERED** -- and still do.? ?spent FOUR HOURS getting a fellow's rig working on my kitchen table on Saturday and he left all SMILES with things working that he never dreamed he would be able to do.....
When people are very new at something and very frustrated it is normal for emotions to boil over.? ?Fuggetaboutit!? ?We all want you to succeed!
IF YOU ARE ABLE TO FIND THAT RADUINO SIGNAL ON YOUR COMM RADIO YOU WILL HAVE MADE A HUGE STEP FORWARD.? YOU ARE MAKING A HUGE MOVE BY GIVING THAT EXPERIMENT A TRY!!!
?And you're going to set a huge example for your child.? ?May be far more important than the device itself.? ?people who can FIX things are work millions.....
we're all waiting with baited breath.....look all around, couple as much as you can to that raduino output without actually TOUCHING bare wires to bare wires --- you're very likely to find that signal somewhere......if the sketch is working at all....
cheers
