Re: W8TEE VFO Board
Jack, I sent payment for 2 boards. If you are out I am OK will waiting for them if that's fine with you. Roland KG7FOP On Aug 14, 2017 10:06 AM, "Jack Purdum via Groups.Io" <econjack=[email protected]> wrote:

Francesca,? My apologies. You were a 11 to 31 for signal report. I could hear u ok at times. Just couldn't hear you well when it counted. Hahaha. Wasn't sure if u were hearing me OK. Re: W8TEE VFO Board

All: It would be best to write first just to make sure I have boards left. For domestic orders, the price is $7.50 and $6 each for the next 3. After that, shipping costs go up. Use payal account: econjack@... and be sure to leave: 1) your shipping address, and 2) the number of board you want. Foreign orders works this way: Pay $7.50 each, and then read the amount of shipping I had to pay on the package after it arrives and pay that amount to me.? When I'm ready to buy do I just pay through PayPal to the email supplied by Jack with number of boards I want and mailing address?

If the IRF-510 is blown will the radio output anything at all?
First use I know everything was working and it was moving my SWR/Power meter. Second use, I upgraded my power supply to a 12v 3.5amp. Little to nothing moving. |

I did made contact ob 7277. You? made? heard me okay. QSB was the problen. I have build? the Bitx 40 radio? knowing electronic working in Silcon valley . I added? on the ptt switch? a RCA jack to push 7 walts in to my 811 amp to get 70 walts out..

I have ?bitx40 ?and completely wired up. get nice hiss when the volume up. display lights up only showing Raduino V1.01. ?frequency never shown, anyone have that problem? ?i think the software is not in the chip. Francesca W7LTG ? NV? |

On 7.277 I worked AG7HX, KF7SEY, WA7SDI. Heard W7LTG. Could not pull off the QSO with him.?
Then I changed frequency and had contacts with W7JCV, KE7ZAC, KG7M. Heard W6LVW but I was in his noise.? Roland KG7FOP? |

I started calling CQ BITX on 7.277 about 6:45p local time.? At times, I heard a loud, strange?"squealing" on frequency; thought maybe a station trying to call that had problems.? I then continued to call an just before 7:00p, Keven, KN4AAG (NC) ?called and we made contact.? Then I heard Keven making QSO's so I just listened to him as he was hearing and working stations that I was not hearing.? I went QRT at about 7:30p.? I am looking forward to next Sunday!? 73, de Karl, KO8S (MI). Re: ADAPTER BOARD - REDUX
For information on a feedback approach for leveling the output of an AD9850/AD9851, see the AD603 data sheet and particularly the example discussed on p 18 of that document. ?The output of a DDS decreases with increasing frequency due to both the low-pass filter and the sin(x)/x characteristic of the discrete sin wave construction.

Re: BITX QSO Night, Sunday, August 13, 7pm Local Time, 7277 kHz in North America, 7177 kHz elsewhere
Hey John...sorry to hear that. Can you hear anything on 40m ? Maybe try just a random long piece of wire into the bitx for rx test only. Maybe find a small 12v battery and take the rig outside to the yard or a park. I assume you have antenna restriction where you are so anything inside will be compromised especially on 40m. Perhaps find a small tuner or build an easy L MATCH for an end fed wire ? There has got to be something you can do. Email me if you more info. By the way, almost all signals are really weak on QRP - that's normal. Gotta call CQ man! I usually have a pipeline down to NJ so if you want to try a sched some night drop me a line .

Re: VU2ESE AGC Schematic redrawn
I added the VU2ESE AGC to my BITX40, along with a bypass switch. It does work, but as I found in another post, I need more audio out with the AGC engaged. The poster recommended replacing the 1uF capacitor at C113 (LM386 pins 1 to 8) with a 10uF cap. I intend to try that. Has anyone here made that change? Any other mods to this AGC that would be helpful?
