Re: has anyone tried this super cheap Mega 2560 PRO MINI

I don't see where you can connect a cable to update the programs/sketches.

They don't have the built on USB connector. You need a separate board for
the USB. I have some NANOs that are like that. They work fine but are a
pain in the backside if you have to program it often and don't leave the
usb board always attached.

Vince.

Has anyone tried these??? Aside from needed a TTL converter they look like
a bargain at less than $9 USD.?? What am I missing?

The one's I've seen use 4 bolts at the corners of a square-cut grill placed on the underside of the cabinet.

I'd be interested in how they work for you, if you do buy one. They are not the "standard" MEGA 2560 Pro Mini footprint that I'm using on my VFO board, so I can't use them or I'd try it myself.

Huw,?

I had LED on all the time, till I realised the transistors were in the wrong way round,?
I did not get a good response from mine with the audio input in, on the other end of the 3.3k so swapped it, may try a preset there later.

Hidehiko.

If you track down Peter VK3YE videos it will help with the S meter, the Pot is one leg to +12v and the wiper onto the + side of the S meter, - side of the meter goes onto the - side of the LED, in other words the meter and its potentiometer is across the LED.

Hope that helps.

Re: CW Offset does NOT work on Raduino_v1.14.1 for BITX40

I use Ver. 1.09 and have no problem to sense TX via 10 K and A0.

Before I connect ?A0 to the main board the input whas very sensitive and get high if I hold my hand over the input.

Thanks Jack. I found the same one earlier this afternoon. It is being restocked and available soon. Their statement from the web site. Whatever time that is. Want two asap. The price is surely good. Very nice looking rig. What are its dimensions? ?Does the tilting bar allow swinging back underneath to back over the top for use as a carrying handle too? ?Thx for your prompt reply.?

I suggest you shield it with this tape or something like that?

I still enjoy economics a lot and try to stay somewhat current in the field, but the software field changes so quickly, it's hard to keep up. Sounds like your daughter has an interesting field of work.

All:

I just noticed that I sent out a code version that did have the IF offset in the code. I'm in the middle of our hamfest and won't be able to get to it until after the hamfest is over (this weekend), but will post that code hopefully on Monday. Probably most of you will have it changed yourself by then.
