Re: Meessage view.

I use gmail to read and reply to messages. Two things that I don't like about replying through gmail is

1 - I never see the messages that are being replied to. In otherwords, if person A posts a message and person B posts a reply, I never see person A original message in person B reply. It's sometimes difficult to know who is replying to who. Understand?

2 - I never see my replies to a message.

Re: Bitx40 and PLJ-6LED Frequency Counter

Hi everyone,

thank you very much for the help and advice so far. I followed John's advice and hooked the counter up to the emitter of Q8 and tried the collector of Q7. As George mentioned in the first reply it won't work with the bitx40 sadly. I went and measured the BFO and found my offset and when the offset is subtracted the counter displays nothing but 0's. Too bad it doesn't work, it's a neat little counter! If I ever get a 20m radio I'll try it out on that. So far I have decided to try? kit out and see how well it works. And my call sign is KM4ZCT. Lastly, I want to thank you guys again for the help. I was a bit discouraged messing with amateur radio at first but playing with the bitx40 has actually made me excited and wanting to use my license instead of letting it sit like I have!

First, copy the URL that has an attachment you can not open and paste into your reply Here.? You will need two or three browser web tabs open, so that you can switch back and forth.

If you look at the bottom of the Raduino source code file, you'll see:

/*
? checkCW();
? checkTX();
? checkButton(); */

Remove the two comment character sets, recompile, upload, and those function become part of the executable.

When I originally asked for this I was hoping for a flood of participants, seems they are all shy :-)
OK that's two then agreeing voltages.? I would be happy if we could get one more agreeing then I will put it in Tips n Mods.
Thanks guys.

I'm amazed that our measurements were so close.

Thanks for taking the time to measure.

I can confirm Randy's results, except for Gate of Q15. Mine is only 4.3V, but that is maybe due to my adjusting the idle current to exactly 0.1A.

All other measurements are within 0.1V error, that can be a meter issue or small variations due to component tolerances.

The method and conditions of measurements are the same the same (GND at power jack, power at PWR1 (not PA PWR, 13.7V in receive, 13.6V in transmit)

Strange that. Just clicking on them should open a dialogue as to whether you want to view or save them.?? Providing you have the relevant program to view them. i.e. Word for the .doc format they should open.

Thanks, my DMM does do current measurements.?

I use either my LP-100A or Diamond SX-600 for RF power measurements.

Ross,

Look in the loop function right at the bottom of the code around line 625

/*
? checkCW();
? checkTX();
? checkButton(); */

Remove the /* and */ to make the functions active

Hi Rob:

Thanks for all the great info, however I have been looking for the commented lines that turn on the Radiono features, I can't seem to find them. I am sure that there are Bitxers that interested ?in these features. Any help is greatly appreciated.
