Hi everyone,

thank you very much for the help and advice so far. I followed John's advice and hooked the counter up to the emitter of Q8 and tried the collector of Q7. As George mentioned in the first reply it won't work with the bitx40 sadly. I went and measured the BFO and found my offset and when the offset is subtracted the counter displays nothing but 0's. Too bad it doesn't work, it's a neat little counter! If I ever get a 20m radio I'll try it out on that. So far I have decided to try? kit out and see how well it works. And my call sign is KM4ZCT. Lastly, I want to thank you guys again for the help. I was a bit discouraged messing with amateur radio at first but playing with the bitx40 has actually made me excited and wanting to use my license instead of letting it sit like I have!

What attachment where you trying to open??? There is probably a free open source application to let you look at that attachment.

Guys can I ask that you use Message View and not just Topics View.

They are shown as they come in and you will miss nothing.

Asking a question when it was answered a few posts ago is wasteful.

Hi All:

All the Bitx tips have helpful and I thank all the contributors. I wondering ?where in the Radiono sketch are the commented lines that need to be uncommented to turn on the features like the RIT, two vfos etc . Any help is appreciated!

Strange that. Just clicking on them should open a dialogue as to whether you want to view or save them.?? Providing you have the relevant program to view them. i.e. Word for the .doc format they should open.

When I originally asked for this I was hoping for a flood of participants, seems they are all shy :-)

OK that's two then agreeing voltages.? I would be happy if we could get one more agreeing then I will put it in Tips n Mods.

I can confirm Randy's results, except for Gate of Q15. Mine is only 4.3V, but that is maybe due to my adjusting the idle current to exactly 0.1A.

All other measurements are within 0.1V error, that can be a meter issue or small variations due to component tolerances.

The method and conditions of measurements are the same the same (GND at power jack, power at PWR1 (not PA PWR, 13.7V in receive, 13.6V in transmit)

Yes, IT'S ALIVE!? Seems to be working as it should.? I've been checking into Noon Time Net 7.2685.? Today I got S5 report.? I'm close to Tacoma, Wa; they are in Reno, Nevada.? Also doing some testing with other local Bitx40 owners.? Things are good.

I'll be comparing mine with this stock data.

Keeping in mind my DMM is like a hand grenade.
