Re: zBitx Distribution upgrade
FYI, after you upgrade to bullseye, sudo apt remove connman, if you don't remove it WIFI does not autostart when you reboot. Leo, AI5II On Wed, Apr 23, 2025, 18:48 Leo Aniol, AI5II via <leomaniolone=gmail.com@groups.io> wrote:

Re: ubitx will not transmit.
Evan,
Thanks very much for the gracious reply.? Sorry for not providing more information.? My board is exact as the one in the picture you posted.? ubitx V6 .2.? There have been no changes or mods to the radio.? I have quite a few tools available for troubleshooting:?? multimeter, oscilloscope, frequency generator, etc.? I will check the voltages as you suggested.? The microphone gave me so much trouble that I never knew if the radio was not working or it was the microphone.? It made the troubleshooting process very frustrating.? I just wanted to find something where I could get a click of some sort to verify there was a transmission.? I will report back on the voltages.? Thanks again for the helpful suggestions.
?

Re: Has anybody managed to integrate the modified gdyulfdin/ft8_lib with sBit or zBitx firmware?
开云体育Yes, that’s one thing I’ve been doing in my fork:I also have a fork of ft8_lib, and my sbitx fork has it as a submodule. ?So I would suggest cloning the sbitx repo into a different directory first, then?git submodule update --recursive —init, then make.

Re: zBitx Distribution upgrade
Yes this is for example one matter. On the other hand there are problems with keyboard and mouse over a dongle via the usb adapter. First I made the adapter responsible, but when I bought an other one problems existed further. Let's see if that problem will get solved. At this moment I'm upgrading.

The modified ft8_lib available at , and it offers a better handling of nonstandard callsigns . However, I wasn't able to simply use it as a replacement of the original ft8_lib sources in the or firmwares.
It looks like certain non-trivial integration work is needed. Unfortunately, I won't be able to take a look at that before the half of July. Has somebody else succeeded to replace the original ft8_lib in [s/z]Bitx with that improved version?

QSSTV on ZbitX
开云体育I? am not able to obtain a 'rig control (TX) when setting up QSSTV on the ZbitX (following the released user-guide). I am able to receive signals, just not able to TX. The ZbitX is unable to communicate to the QSSTV app (or vice versa) re: PTT/TX. Any ideas?? I have tried 'many' different radios / rig control combinations, but nothing works. (I do have WSJTX running, and of course, FT8). BTW, a small, finned heat-sink plus a small fan seems to have solved any heat issues.

Re: zBitx Distribution upgrade
Michael,
if you mean the 64-bit version of sbitx, you can download it from . The original sbitx was installed on 32-bit Buster OS, it is installed on 64-bit Bookworm and is under development. You can find a description in the github files if you want to install it on a clean OS. --
