Re: Relationship between IF-S, calibration, and BFO?
IF-S is basically controlling the BFO on receive. If you adjust the BFO (shown as USB Calibration in Memory Manager) by the amount you have been adjusting your IF-S then you will correct that error and not have to use IF-S and your transmit will be corrected as well.

Re: Relationship between IF-S, calibration, and BFO?
If You have set up correctly, then comfortable listening will likely require some IF-S to shift the bandpass downwards, adding more lower end, but all the way to the right sounds like You are way off.. I'm about 20% for nice even audio on the waterfall in JTDX, and less scratchy audio for phone. (V4 board)

Re: Homebrew li-ion battery pack into ubitx
End fed 1/2 wave is a voltage fed antenna Sarma ji, there might be more then kilo volts present even with QRP at end of coil... Therefore thin PVC variable Gang Capacitor won't help... On Mon 15 Apr, 2019, 12:35 PM Dave Dixon, <wylyeguy2@...> wrote:

Re: Homebrew li-ion battery pack into ubitx
Dear Pratap jee,
Your power inside is really welcome . ?One could take out the rig to field, with some end fed or a fold-able vertical antenna and used for an hour.? Other mods are curiously awaited. Being a QRP, perhaps you can use PVC gang caps.? Regards sarma vu3zmv |
Re: error Receive Length = 0/1027
Hi Cristian,
Please upload a screen shot of your error. ?secondly, please check whether you have set the port and Port has recognised? the CH340G? usb interface. Finally define the chip as atmega328, and if possible as old bootloader. the Arduino Nano is also to be selected. all the best regards sarma vu3zmv ? |
error Receive Length = 0/1027
#ubitx
error Receive Length = 0/1027
any ideea haw to fix this error?!but whene i try to write on raduino i get message thar is writing but no mesaje is receive....i use another pc and the same problem...the ubitx is new,out from the box. thanks in advance 73 |
Relationship between IF-S, calibration, and BFO?
I am curious to the relationship of the IF-S to the calibration and/or the BFO. I have things set on the radio and I can hear pretty conversation clearly but my IF-S is set all the way to the right at 2000. I am guessing that it means I could still do some fine tuning somewhere.
Thanks for the help Bill KE8EYM |
Re: Kit-Projects ND6T Ubitx AGC
Tim, here's what I got this evening. Hopefully the numbers are good. They are similar to what I posted yesterday. The Vol-Hi measures are p-p done on an o-scope. There was a fair amount of noise at Vol-Hi maybe about 10mVp-p. It was tough getting a good connection.
Input?????? ADC???? A7(Vdc)??? Vol-hi(Vp-p) -73dBm??????? 2???? 0.02??????? 20mV -63dBm?????? 59???? 0.303?????? 72mV -53dBm????? 158???? 0.795?????? 240mV -43dBm????? 196???? 0.981?????? 660mV I had to do the Vol-Hi measurements a second time after I realized it wouldn't work with the ADC on. Hi everybody,
for the OMs who where interested in this project, I have made two videos of the controller in use with the uBITX. The 2 or better 3 points I am still trying to work on / which need improvement are 1.) The sound intensity of the stepper motor. This is really annoying. The problem is i think that the capacitor gets pushed to hard by the pulses of the stepper which causes the vibration noises. 2.) For tuning, the loop controller switches the radio to AM and reduces power. Both functions are not supported by the uBITX. a.) For getting a tuning signal i made the loop controller firmware change the mode to CW instead of AM for tuning. However it is not working, i need to manually use a CW key (also called screwdriver) to get a usable signal. b.) I think (depending on the band) 15 to 5 Watts is still to much output while tuning - or worse - while not having a good SWR. I need to figure out an easy way to reduce output, which can be controlled via cat - maybe by manipulating the bias of the finals or by switching in an attenuater with a relays. 73 Sascha |
Re: Order Confirmation
I went through the same thing.? For me, I contacted the email provided in the PayPal notice.? They ultimately responded that I would get a notification when the item shipped, which I did a couple of days later.? I never did get a notification that the order was confirmed.
It was almost two weeks from order to shipping notification for me.? I assume that was due to all of the interest in the new v5 boards.? Once shipped it arrived soon there after. I would send the email to the PayPal vendor link, and wait another week.? They may still be back logged on the boards. FWIW 73 Evan AC9TU |
