Yes the inductor is 33uh and the capacitors are 220pf. I also added them to the first driver stage to. I measured before and after the mod and the drive levels just about doubled on all bands.?

I just happened to read your post at 43 minutes past the hour and it seems to have worked well.? I ended up adjusting my radio +17 from my initial setting.? ?
Immediately after calibrating against WWV with the radio menu, something odd with the BFO calibration setting did happen though; the BFO also changed (it was up around 11999 and I think it took effect when I pressed PTT to confirm the new calibration setting).
After realizing that the radio's BFO calibration menu would take me forever to wind back to 11997, I connected uBITX_Manager as I could just type in the number and then write to the radio.? However - as soon as uBITX_Manager connected, it seems to have reset the radio and the BFO value reverted to 11997.? ?
So I additionally suggest to immediately following your WWV frequency calibration with a radio power cycle before checking the BFO Calibration setting.? If anyone else can confirm this behavior, perhaps we can flag it for Ian.?
Finally, tonight there was some Olivia or other MFSK traffic that was very audible on LSB at 7074.? So for those doing the calibration using the "by ear digital signal" technique I summarized above, be sure that you're listening for the 15 second interval FT-8 transmissions and not the arbitrary length MFSK modes.??

I bought your book. I have been promoting it when people ask questions about arduino's. You went to the trouble of printing a book that most anyone should be able to understand and even given homework for the reader to become more proficient.Barry Kauler, the author of Puppy Linux, used to be a assembly language programmer and taught University level programming in assembly. Even though it was difficult to find I purchased one of his early programming books. I am still learning assembly. My only rush in learning the race between saneness and insanity.

Having a dog really hampers my freedom. I can't afford a kennel. Spending power from pension seems to be getting smaller each year. I have probably exceeded the norm for retirement, 25 years. I spend my seed money for Dayton last month on a really great deal for a tower. I paid less than 1/3 what I paid for same tower 24 years ago. I really wanted to attend Thursday, first day of FDIM and maybe half a day Friday. I could've stayed at my Sister's house in Springfield. Would also like to be at Dayton on Sunday. My club, PCARS aka Portage County Amateur Radio Service, is being presented an award from DARA for the Best Club of 2018 and our club group picture. The DOG hampers most of my plans. I would go to Dayton (Xenia) just to talk with people face-to-face and have a stab at the main prize. I have never won anything at Dayton. Maybe I will be healthy enough to make the trip in 2019.

Are they errors or warnings? There are so many people using the code that it seems unlikely that there are errors. I know there should be some warnings, especially if you have renamed most of the *.ino files to *.cpp files because of type checking. Still, the most likely cause is in the installation of the libraries. It would be helpful to see a list of the errors and the URL where you downloaded the source code files. Also, which version number and op system.

Hello Art,
I am in VK land so time difference may make this exchange a bit slow due to time differences, but I am happy to help you. You are almost there, since you have the Arduino IDE installed and the software opened in the IDE. You need to connect the Arduino to the computer via a mini-USB to standard USB cable. Before plugging the cable in, you may need to install the driver for the CH40 chip doing the USB communication on the Arduino board.? Here I assume you are running Windows. My driver's file I downloaded is called ch341ser.zip and is 187,867bytes long. It should be easily found via Google. When you plug in the Raduino it will give you a new comm port that is visible in the Arduino IDE in the tools/port section (they typically have high numbers like com12). Select, it. Then ensure you have board "Arduino Nano" in the Tools/Board field, "ATmega328P old bootloader" in the Tools/Processor field, "AVR mkII" in the Tools/Programmer field. Now you can compile and upload the program with a CTRL-U. It should show you the progress in the bottom section of the screen. All the best, 73, John (VK2ETA)
