Re: ND6T AGC implementation for uBIT-X
I would gladly buy three of each if possible. Well done! Tony, KB9A On Mon, Apr 30, 2018, 6:58 PM Kees T <windy10605@...> wrote: OK, here is the status. I'll order with DHL shipping and I should have boards in 7-10 days at my door based on experience.? ? |

Yup, that crossover is missing a junction dot on the AGC schematic. Also, looks like Kees' schematic is following Don's lead by not showing where the RF gain pot should be. Good to see so many clamoring for the boards. I assume there is no list. But put me down for 3 each anyway. Jerry, KE7ER On Mon, Apr 30, 2018 at 06:54 pm, Tim Gorman wrote:

Re: ND6T AGC implementation for uBIT-X
Ken,
As many as required. We need to build and test a few when the boards arrive (plenty of volunteers) and then we'll let er' rip. Status will be posted here. Assuming I can get 100% yield on the shear that's 160 AGC and 320 Click boards initially, more as needed after that. With the DHL shipping I'll have to figure out what the board cost is to me and go from there. You will be surprised, it will be quite low. What drives overall kit prices up is US/DX postage, PayPal fees, and packaging. Quantity is what makes it cheap. 73 Kees K5BCQ? |

The AGC board is 1" x 1" and the No Click is 1" x 1/2". |

Hi Kees How many kits do you plan on making available? Both AGC and Click kits? 73 Ken VA3ABN On Mon, Apr 30, 2018 at 6:48 PM, Kees T <windy10605@...> wrote: The AGC board is 1" x 1" and the No Click is 1" x 1/2". |

My primary suggestion would be that you blindly follow Allard's suggestions.

I sat through the 8:17 minute April 1 2016 Steve Ellington video on the myantennas EFHW-8010.

Wow, now I remember why I mostly avoid youtube, maybe 10 seconds worth of? information in all of that. Anyways,he has the matchbox about 5' up in the air, the wire then goes straight up to 55 feet and then over, and he was planning to rip out his other antenna to make room? for a second EFHW-8010 so he could swap patterns.? Which is to say that he likes it. Oh, and on long 80m CW transmit sessions at 500 Watts he sees his SWR creep up suggesting the transformer was maybe overheating, not an issue on the other bands.?? And he's very fond of LMR-600 coax. Maybe Simon could give us an executive summary on his other dozen or so videos, especially the one that's an hour and a quarter long.? Did Steve E. ever manage to build something he liked better than the EFHW-8010? What's a good video to start with for somebody wanting to build one from scratch? Any tidbits not typically found in other material on EFHW's? Jerry, KE7ER ? On Mon, Apr 30, 2018 at 04:50 pm, Kelly Jack wrote:
There is a youtube channel by a ham called Steve Ellington that looks at various aspects of the efhw including construction and the myantennas version. Search "EFHW" and the channel came up in a number of the results. |

I'll be out in the field tailgating again . Easy to spot as my bengal cat sits on the table selling things for me.? Would be interesting to meet others with ubitx interest and to compare notes.?
