Sounds like the settings in EEPROM are scrambled.? Have you used uBITx Manager to check?? If they are scrambled you can use uBITx manager to fix them too!

My main concern was the height. 1.1 inch will clear the top for sure.
Maybe I can use it's mike, built in speaker and optical encoder tuning too.

Tinny sounding electric miss on uBitx
I was trying various electret mics with my uBitx today. Most of them sound very tinny lacking midrange and bass.?
This raises several questions: 1. is it me or do others find the transmitted sound is tinny when monitoring in another rcvr?

I just measured a board. It's 4.9" x 4.7 x 1.1. You can shrink the 4.7 down to 4.5 with a different heat sink. It'll be a tight fit.

For me, if the encoding is pulsing faster than once per 100ms, I'm doing a Fast Tune. Slower than that and I'm just tuning around. Read the code in loop() to figure out how to use it. Thanks Jerry! I had the issue of the broadcast station at los volume setting but after soldering a 10nF capacitor between cursor and ground of the volume potentiometer, the station dissapeared! ?

Sorry all the voltages you mention are wrong!
Pin 5 & 8 MUST have 12v if your board is connected to power supply 12v. No 12v means RX will not work..
Pin no 1 (Square pad) can have 12v ONLY on TX.
I suspect that you are not measuring properly or counting the pins wrong... cant be this way off.
