I hope there will be others or maybe a regular thing, as I have not put my bits together yet.?

Re: 2A amperage draw on TX, but no RF out

Q13 is an mmbt3904. ?
It runs hot, a 2n3904 would be a better choice if replacing it as the leaded version can dissipate more heat.

But there's a hundred different parts that might reduce power on you like that,
you won't do much good just shotgunning every part in the transmit path.
I suggest you check all the DC values around Q13, and not rip that transistor off the board
unless the base and emitter voltages look wrong when pressing the PTT switch:

I have a 3D printed Bezel as addition to the RaduinoX "better" Raduino.

It comes with some Flat Head metric screws, and additional plastic standoffs and screws.

There all also spacers to hold it squarely behind the front panel.

It fits the standard 1602 LCDS.?? I sold a half dozen to members of this group.

$3 if shipped with RaduinoX, $5 if by its self.

I made one, with an X-Acto knife, and some of the plastic from a Wendys salad dish. ??

It wasn't the thin stuff, it was about a millimeter thick, and just the right consistency for this job.

raduino v1.27 released (improved suppression of spurious burst)

Hi,
I've just released raduino v1.27, download it from

New in this release:

  • Improved the suppression of the spurious carrier when switching from RX to TX.
  • The default TX-DELAY is now 65 ms (you can adjust the delay time by editing line 71 as necessary)
IMPORTANT: This sketch version requires the library "PinChangeInterrupt" for interrupt handling.
This is a non-standard library - it may not yet be installed on your system. However installing it is very easy:

  1. In your IDE, go to Sketch => Include Library => Manage Libraries...
  2. The Library Manager will be opened, wait a few moments for your IDE to refresh the list of installed libraries.
  3. Then, in the search box (Filter your search), enter "PinChangeInterrupt"
  4. Select the library PinChangeInterrupt by NicoHood and press the Install button
  5. You can close the Library Manager when the installation is completed.

Then compile and upload the sketch as usual.

Happy BitX-ing!

Re: Modular BiTX40

It is my idea to conforming a modular rig.
My design requirement:
Main board have to be < 100 x 100 mm to use a PCb manufacturer discount as a prototype.
All the module have to be the same size interchangeable over the main board for experimenter or for teaching uses.
The main board would be assembly as a regular rig or will be assembly separate with each module.
The relay and the Qrp PA will be in other module with the option to snap in to the main board.
At this time the main board is empty, but It will be completed with all the modules for the regular use as a Qrp exciter.
Please any comment will be appreciate to improve the design idea.
