Re: BITX40 package size
L3 is fully isolated for DC by the three caps around it, so shorting L3 to C130A1 should not have done much.

Make sure both wires of L3 are still soldered to the board or receive will be deaf and transmit dumb. Are you sure it was D6 (into Q6 collector) that was fried? ? If so, this is all very puzzling.? Any other hints as to what was happening when D6 blew? D6 is only powered when the rig is transmitting, when it blew the TX rail likely had power on it for some reason. If the IRF510 is only powered by 12v or so, it's probably fine even if it was transmitting into no load. If it did blow, they are very cheap and easy to replace. ?The damage would be confined to the IRF510. At any rate, so far so good. I have no reason to think you did serious damage. Right, taken another look at the board and the good news is that I didn't reverse the polarity! There are no obvious solder bridges or damaged tracks etc either which is good, however I did notice that one of the inductors (L3) was bent over and resting against the relay side of C130A1 (photo hopefully attached). I assume that this isn't good but my expertise doesn't stretch to knowing exactly how bad it is. Probably also worth mentioning that there was no antenna/dummy load attached so maybe the L3/C130A1 short put the board into transmit but there was no load? ? |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Jack I think a little
more clarification on the international order cost would be
helpful. "4 boards go for the price of 1" That suggests that 2 or 3 boards? could also go for the price of 1. If that is so, what would be the total price be for 2 boards ..... $15.00 for first +$7.50 for the second, $22.50 in total? $30.00 total for 3, $37.50 for 4? By the way, my earlier offer to act as a VK/ZL group distributor, at cost, stands although I fully understand if you prefer to use the direct mail approach you have outlined.. Re: Raduino V1.01 vs V1.14 Birdie at 7.200
As mentioned already please try v1.14.1
Please also make sure you're using the correct SI5351 library. It MUST be v2.01 (later versions are known for strong tuning clicks). If it doesn't work for you you can always try earlier versions with less functionality. All earlier releases are available at For example v1.04 supports 10-turn tuning pot, but it doesn't have all the extra functions yet. 73 Allard PE1NWL |

Its the VK3YE AGC circuit, available videos in 3 parts from youtube.? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ5JEPRiPoM&t=263s BC548 diagram? Sometimes its the simple things that trip us up, Used to spend hours with OC71 & OC81 transistors, but that was years ago.... Cough cough..... 40+ years ago, mind forgets things. there is only VFO, Cal. Button and Mic. connected in my Bitx40, I am only going to use it on LSB !
I have a lot of 7MHz CW Rigs from about 200mW to 750mW and there is a Regen set on workbench for CW ( 7.000 to 7.100 MHz ) in two version..... one for about 2 W and one for 30 W |

Hello all, Time for more fun. ?go to the web site below. My long time friend K9HWL sent this web site: Once on site copy and paste this (or yours) C Q, C Q, C Q This is W,? A,? 9,? D,? O,? H, ? Hi all, Before couple of days I write mail that confirm the same thing. Old raduino source in my old homebrew rigs (I have 4 homebrew cw rigs with modded raduino and Si570, AD9851 and Si5351) , don't have tuning clicks (Or they are in very low level). 73! Raduino V1.01 birdie at 7.200MHz is very low in signal, only thing I really missed is support for 10 Turn Pot. ND6T software low noise and low signal Birdie, but I do not like shuffle tuning result is I am going to use the old version since I have other Rigs for CW on 7MHz |
